Meter Maid Ruins Mischa's Day

Mischa Barton went on a shopping spree on Melrose Avenue yesterday ... and got herself a nifty new parking ticket!

After breezing through some stores on the trendy stretch of shops and picking up a drink at The Coffee Bean, the former "OC" star took a leisurely stroll back to her SUV -- a little too leisurely, judging by the ticket on her windshield.

Someone get this girl a roll of quarters, stat!
