The doctor who prescribed Anna Nicole Smith methadone while she was pregnant is firing back at the man claiming that he's not cooperating with the investigation into her death.
After reports that the results of Anna Nicole Smith's autopsy were delayed by the medical examiner so he could examine additional evidence, an attorney for Dr. Sandeep Kapoor says he has nothing to add to the investigation.
Broward County Medical Examiner, Dr. Joshua Perper, had criticized Dr. Kapoor for what he says was the good doctor's refusal to cooperate with his investigation.
As TMZ first reported, Dr. Kapoor prescribed Anna Nicole methadone to her alias while she was pregnant. Ellyn Garofalo, Dr. Kapoor's lawyer, says that he has "been appropriately cautious about protecting the confidentiality of Anna Nicole Smith's medical treatment." She then calls out Dr. Perper, saying, "It's apparent that such caution is justified when the Broward County Medical Examiner makes public statements about a supposedly confidential investigation. The medical examiner's job is to determine the cause of Ms. Smith's death. Dr. Kapoor has no information that will help with that determination. Dr. Kapoor's treatment of Ms. Smith was at all times medically sound and he will continue to cooperate with any formal requests from authorities."

They have no clue as to how to run an investigation so they are just making up excuses and naming names in the hopes that someone will come forward and admit to wrongdoing! Give us a cause of death, and make it the truth!

Dr Perper said he didn't need Kapoor's statement. On NG he was asked if it would effect his investigation into her death and he said no. So big woop.

More attorney spin... Dr. Perper has revealed NOTHING, much to our disappointment! Kapoor is hiding because he knows he is in deep shit and his career in "Entertainment Medicine" is over.
I hope that Dr. Perper, who is also an attorney, will do what needs to be done to get this guy's statement.

And Dr. Perper wants to examine her computer. Clearly, there is evidence of drug use in her toxicology results, and he needs to get pertinent medical information from Dr. Feelgood Kapoor.
In most any case, the physician involved in a patient's medical care ( and I would include prescribing Methadone as such) would want to resolve any questions about the patient's death, and would willingly provide records and discuss the patient's care. His failure to do so is very damming. This guy is going to lose his MD license. At a minimum.
Her computer- did it have communications between ANS and Dr. Feelgood Kapoor? Did she order drugs this way?
I predict a Grand Jury will be convened in Broward County. HK$ and Dr. Feelgood Kapoor, as well as the female psychiatrist, the elder Gibson and the creepy Brigitte, and at least Mo and Taz will be compelled to testify.
Dr. Perper knows the cause of death. Now, the new evidence is affecting the decision about the manner of death- natural/accidental/suicide/homicide. It is all starting to point towards toxicology being significantly involved. Just like Daniel's tragic death.
Get that baby away from HK$.
