Rosie Goes Belly Up

Click to return to TMZ.comWe kid, we kid! Rosie's OK -- she's doing herself some good, in fact.

In a special broadcast about depression and women, Rosie demonstrated "inversion therapy" -- wherein the patient suspends herself from a yoga swing. Rosie says that it releases the serotonin in her brain and that she indulges in the verticality for 15 to 30 minutes every day. Yo ga, girl!

No word on whether Babwa would be doing her own show about the experiences with depression -- The Great Depression, that is.

39. I would like to see Rosie take some anger management classes. I can't watch The View anymore (I know, I know the ratings are through the roof) because I've listened to politicians, pundits and comedians throw up their anger since the cons went after Bill & Hill - the libs are after Bush - all the other tragedies going on in the world, I like to watch Regis, Oprah, Ellen and other shows because they mostly inspire me.

I'm no holy roller but I am a Christian & I have grand children growing up in this world. While Rosie attacks Christians and now it seems like she attacks everyone to the extreme, I can't stand to watch the show.

I used to watch Rosie O'Donnell's show. I loved her dreams of Broadway as a little girl, etc., I like her gentle side of activism not her 'in your face' side which is out of control in my personal opinion.

My nephew and many of my friend all my life are gay. When Rosie rants as though everyone who believes in a God hates gays - I really resented that - My sister who has been a devout Christian all her life worried most about someone being mean to her son because he was gay. We don't like Rosie's education to the viewers that "Christians" hate gays or have no tolerance.

I hate to say this - Please no one take this personal - because I hate racism or bigotry - but there are red necks down here in the South who never go to church, they never profess to be anything Godly - but they'll watch sports, drink their beers and call a gay or lesbian every bad horrible name in the world.

I wish Rosie would get a grip - when she makes a good point it gets lost in her rants and anger. She has the stage 5 days a week for one hour ... I wonder if she has any idea what positive things she could say from that platform?

There is a correct way to be express negative or constructive comments about everything.

My father was a minister. He died 1994 at 71. He had a family who belonged to the church he pastored who had a gay son - brother. He was a very well known hairdresser in Cincinnati. The family disowned him as they sat in the pews, played the organ and they were really very nice people. When their brother/son was dying with AIDS (1970's) my father was a kidney dialysis patient [last 8 years of his life] - If you know anything about dialysis you are aware of the 'shunt' that goes under the skin inside your lower arm - this is so they can hook you up to the machine that takes all your blood out of your body and cleanses it and puts it back in your body.

There were always tiny open place around the shunt because he was on the machine 3 times a week.

In those days people were not educated about how AIDS spreads - Ryan White was a regular on Phil Donahue - and because Ryan White, a little boy got AIDS through a blood transfusion they wouldn't let him contiue going to his classroom because the parents were afraid their children would get AIDS from Ryan. Elton John took Ryan & his mother under his wing also.

With that in mind, it was my father who set with this gentlemen, this child of God as he was dying with AIDS - my father [believed] it was sin according to how he understood the Bible - but my father lived like Christ I have come to realize. He loved everyone and he didn't judge anyone. When this man's own family would not have anything to do with him - it was my 'evangelical' preacher, father, and pastor who sat & loved this man with NO fear of getting AIDS - my dad would always say about death & life - "it's a win-win situation I'm in - if I live I get to be with my loved ones - if I die, I'll be in heaven - I can't loose."

Some may read this and find it offensive or a lie, in today's world, in Rosie's world of anger, people have cloudy thoughts - their minds have become programmed to be on the defense and punch back - hurt back. I have to top your top - I hope Rosie settles down.

I really miss the View....but I too suffer from depression and one of the worst things I can do is listen to Rosie trash American Idol one of the only TV shows my 13 & 15 year old grandchilden.

We call each other up about who we are going to vote for - most of the time we like different people - but we don't yell at each other or go 'blah-blah-blah-blah" - My son & their mother would not allow it first of all.

43. Hopefully next time it goes around her neck and she hangs on TV, I don't think her co-hosts would cut her down if they say it happening.
