Sundance to Ryan: Arrogant Finalist Claiming Victory

The horribly bearded Sundance Head was booted from "American Idol" last night -- and today he admits there's one cocky SOB left in the bunch.


The rejected singer was on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning show, where he said one of the guys remaining on the show -- whose name he wouldn't mention -- thinks he already has the competition in the bag.

Sundance also confessed he was shocked he was kicked off -- as the pseudo-vocal stylings of Sanjaya Malakar remained in the Top 12 -- saying, "I had not prepared myself for that ... I was a little angry ... at this point I'm just bitter this morning."

Head's elimination was only the first bad news he received yesterday, as OK! Magazine reveals he received word right after the taping that his cousin died in a fire that night. The cousin, Burl Head, had given Sundance $1500 for his stay in Los Angeles during the competition.

I'm sorry that America got it wrong, like Simon stated "Did the folks have their sound off??" The young man who received more votes most likely has a computer generated professional that can dial in his number, and vote as many times as one can in two hours. After all this is a "Singing Competition"...but you had some exposure, let's hope the right people have been watching...I'll pray for you, because we all know you deserve to be in the final six for the men. Make a great day happen!! Keep the faith, okay!!

156. Sundance may have lost but if he and Sanjaya were against each other in a beef-eating contest, we all know who would win that one hands down! When Sanjaya gets booted next week maybe he will be hired by 7-11 to sing a jingle for them. His payment: he gets to run cashier at the 7-11 of his choice (like his dad and brother and cousin and grandfather, and...)

157. This is so f-n funny!!! Who give a shit about these people anyway? On the show off the show, who cares. They could die tonight and you wouldn't remember there names by Monday. How would it make your life any differant if four other people got voted off? I'm sure you'd all find something or someone else to bitch about.

158. I just have to jump on the bandwagon here. When Sundance was voted off, I shouted oh my god so loud my husband came running in, thought I got hurt! This show has become a joke and I'll tell you how alot of it works because I have many teenybopper nieces who vote only for contestants they think are cute! They don't give a crap if they can't sing. Senjaya got all the votes because I'm sure there are alot of little girls who think he's cute(yuk) and Daddy definitely did a computer fix. I think they should change the rules; let America vote, but the judges make the final decision. The fact that Haley is still there is because when Simon picks on someone, America wants to stick it to him. I agreed with everything he said, I couldn't remember her name either. Quite frankly, I could only remember a couple names. I'm just starting to put names with faces. This is definitely such a let down this year after the last season with the top 12 having appeal. This group really doesn't. The guys overall have really sucked and the girls are better, but I think we all know who will remain till the bitter end. Melinda and Lakisha.
Why don't they have the men all do the hula and then America can decide who we like the best?

159. Yes Sundance was good but not good enough. But he should of at least went on for the next week NOT Sanjaya! He is terrible, can't sing to save his life. Maybe he should contact wacko jacko to be a fill in for him somewhere where they still like that kind of person.

160. I was shocked Sundance was voted off!!He was a lot better than the other guy. Something is fishy! The girls are much better than the guys this year and Melinda is the best by far of them.

162. Ga girl, Sanjaya is an American citizen. America is now a pluralistic society composed of various race-ethnicities. It doesn't mean if one's origin is of a different race, one isn't an American.

Praise for the people who chose to comment on Sanjaya's and Sundance's talents instead of attacking the former's ethnicity and the latter's physical attributes. After all, it's their singing abilities that were supposed to be judged by viewers.

However, it's obvious that people vote for reasons of their own aside from contestants' singing prowess. Should Sanjaya's ethnicity and his supporters be ridiculed? Should Sundance's physical apperance be criticized? Judging by the color of the skin and physical qualities is a form of discrimination.

Inspite of all the racial bashing and attacks on physical features here, I still believe there are more people who can see beyond a person's skin color and looks. These people make this world a better place to live in. Cheers!

163. America always does something crazy every year. Leaving Sanjaya on is awful. He should be gone as well as a few others that are still there. I believe one of the stronger women will win this year.

Be happy that you got some needed exposure and hopefully it will help you to move ahead.
This is a competition after all and not everyone can win, to make it this far should be all that anyone with real talent needs. This gives them the opportunity to make needed contacts and keep plugging away at a career.

164. Good grief. You are being ridiculously hard on Sanjaya -- FOR THE WRONG REASONS. No, he's not a good singer -- but for goodness sake people, pick on him for his singing, NOT for his color. His ethnicity HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT, go that? Vocal talent and race are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Gosh. Narrow-minded freaks.
