Sundance to Ryan: Arrogant Finalist Claiming Victory

The horribly bearded Sundance Head was booted from "American Idol" last night -- and today he admits there's one cocky SOB left in the bunch.

The rejected singer was on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning show, where he said one of the guys remaining on the show -- whose name he wouldn't mention -- thinks he already has the competition in the bag.

Sundance also confessed he was shocked he was kicked off -- as the pseudo-vocal stylings of Sanjaya Malakar remained in the Top 12 -- saying, "I had not prepared myself for that ... I was a little angry ... at this point I'm just bitter this morning."

Head's elimination was only the first bad news he received yesterday, as OK! Magazine reveals he received word right after the taping that his cousin died in a fire that night. The cousin, Burl Head, had given Sundance $1500 for his stay in Los Angeles during the competition.

121. This is so f-n funny!!! Who give a shit about these people anyway? On the show off the show, who cares. They could die tonight and you wouldn't remember there names by Monday. How would it make your life any differant if four other people got voted off? I'm sure you'd all find something or someone else to bitch about.

122. I was disappointed that Sundance was voted off, but I feel sorry for Sanjaya. He is too young, and really needs more vocal training, but the judges put him through. Imagine how he feels reading comments about him, knowing that he does not really deserve to be there at this point. It's only a TV show, and who even remembers the people who were voted off in past seasons? Give the kid a break and think how you would feel if you were in his shoes and had people writing in about you.

123. #14 - Sanjaya gets the pre-teen vote.

Sundance got a rotten break, but I'm glad Antonella is gone. She keeps saying how everyone is unique and so she's not comparing herself to others. Well, in theory I agree with her but she doesn't BEGIN to be as good as the other girls.

It's amazing to me that any guy thinks he's got it won. ANYTHING can happen, and this year, the women are so vastly better than the men are. I think it's Melinda's & LaKisha's to lose, but no matter what, those two are going to be making records.

124. I sure am glad I have the Mustang Sally taped. I had Sundance pegged to be in the final 2. This season sucks. I was really only watching for him. I can't even remember anyone else's name. There is one girl that is good, so she'll win. I really don't care anymore, now that Sundance is gone. I missed voting, so I feel to blame. Sorry Sundance! I mean it! I can't believe how bad this season is. They really won't have a very good show when they travel around afterwards. Most everyone is forgetable. I still don't know how slut-girl made it on instead of the blonde girl from the farm who could really sing, but just forgot lyrics. She was better than almost all the girls now. I think this will be the worst season ever. Only a couple of likable characters, not many who can really sing. It will be 2 years in a row where they won't make much money. Sundance sgould be signed by someone, the guy has pipes!

125. Those of you who said how fat, ugly, etc Sundance was should be ashamed of yourself's. Your words were very hurtful and I hope Sundance does not read them. I for one liked Sundance and now have no reason to continue watching this season's show.

I only hope those individuals who were cruel never have things like that said about yourselves, but then again you probably deserve it!

127. sanjaya is in the top 12 because there are a bazillion 12 yr olds with cell phones that can call and vote for him. he's also getting the sympathy vote. once Simon badmouths you, the world votes for you. BUT sundance? BLECH. he's like a cheap rock and roll bar schlep.

128. sundance was not one of my favs--especially was shocked in hollywood week when he forgot his words and sounded awful--but got thru??but he stepped it up and WAS one of the better ones---i had to cuss at the tv when they read his name and goof troop made it into the final 12---WHAT THE FUCK

131. I don't even think I'll watch AI anymore. Everyone I liked has been voted off. Why---I don't know. The most boring season so far. They need to do something about this free-for-all voting. The voting system is not fair. Must be a better way.

133. Stupid Americans voted for a pretty little boy that looks like Mowgli, rather than the ugly fat bloke that sings brilliantly. It's not a populairty contest, it's a singing contest. The rest of the world would probably suggest you people just aren't bright enough to be given voting rights on anything. The phone lines are a money making scheme, which is unfortunate because they would certainly make a better Idol than you people.

134. Sabrina being voted off was a bigger surprise than Sundance.

Honestly people...Sundance did a great imitation of a talented singer in maybe two performances. Otherwise he forgot words, fucked up timing or in general underwhelmed with lukewarm performances that would only make a ripple in the friendliest of karaoke bars. He shouldn't have made it past Hollywood..but American Idol is quite obviously tired of the show being ruled by church reared Soul and R&B types..hence the judge's support for Sundance Head and Gina Glockson..they make it look like rock types have more of a chance than they do...the rockers that have made it earned their stripes by demonstrating that they could pull off songs outside of the genre...Sundance was limited and Gina is pretty flat when she isn't trying to channel Amy Lee...

Sabrina had a strong voice, a marketable look (nice figure, looks her age, etc.) and didn't have any bad performances..she just fell victim to being surrounded by people who were much better at doing what she is pretty good at doing (Lakisha and Doolittle are easily the best raw vocal talents in the competition) or more likeable while doing it about as well (Jordin). Stephanie Edwards will probably be the next casualty of this reality. She can pull off "soul powerhouse"..but not as well as Melinda or Lakisha..and she's not as "likeable" as Jordin...if it comes down to those four she's hosed too.

None of the men should feel too confident....

Brandon has proven that he absolutely sucks at song selection...and comes off as much more of a "back up singer" than Melinda..

Chris R. is Justin Timberlight and that shtick will get old pretty quickly..of the two "now" type singers Blake is just "cooler".

Phil Stacey is inconsistent and his vocals can at best be described as "competent"..in a better field he'd have left this competition quite a few weeks ago.

Chris Sligh has timing problems and I think he's more than a little over confident...

Sanjaya is fodder...there's nothing redeeming about him at all...

Blake has a lot of "cool" but I think he'll have a harder time when he gets thrown into genres he's not comfortable with.....I haven't seen any flashes of brilliance in his vocal range either...but he is a "performer"...

my 22 cents...
