Burke & Charvet, Saving the World One Burger at a Time

Brooke Burke and David Charvet bought a boxful of burgers and fries and distributed them to the homeless in glamorous Santa Monica this weekend.

The new parents were spotted with a boxful from Burger King, where they ordered forty burgers and fries from a drive-thru and proceeded to distribute them on foot to the seaside city's less fortunate.

Santa Monica, home to celebrities, is also home to approximately 2,000 homeless persons.

32. Good job,....I dont think these two actually get much pap attention so they dont look like they went out lookin for publicity......But yeah, in a drive through, its must something to be inline behind them unless of course ppl in Santa Monica prefer more posh eateries...I certainly hope ordered ahead of time and picked up...but its seems more like an impromtu thing...........In anycase good for them...

34. Well, well...

Just when I thought all celebrities were narcisistic jerks (or empty headed, self important & self centered, STD infected, loser do nothing skank slut-ebrities like pair-ass hilton & kim "porno" kardashian), along come these 2 doing something selfless & altruistic; they've reinforced in me the idea that people are basically decent.

Good for you, David & Brooke. All the other self centered celebrities should be kissing your asses right now; you've shamed them all & shown them how they should be acting. Forget the whiners on this blog, who complain about what you've done; you deserve a hearty "Thank You"...

35. It was a really nice thing to do. People can be too cynical, doubting everyone's motives all the time. Sure, maybe they were just after publicity. But so what? Does that make what they did any less nice? Why automatically believe the bad ... who cares if the bad is true, just believe the good anyway. Although I have to say, buying burgers seems kinda strange. These people are living on the streets without proper clothing or food - why buy them unhealthy burgers and fries? If you really wanted to do the right thing, you'd buy them some healthy food that actually will benefit them nutritionally.

37. This is not selfish and altruistic - it is a misguided attempt to help that does nothing more than encourage people to hang around and harass tourists and locals. PLEASE contribute to a soup kitchen, homeless center, or rehab facility instead where it will make a real difference. There are far too many recreational homeless in Santa Monica as it is.
