Restraining Orders Issued Against Paps in Israel

TMZ has learned that the two bodyguards involved in a fight with paparazzi in Israel yesterday were not arrested as first reported, but were taken to a local police station for questioning.

According to sources connected with the incident, a group of paparazzi dangerously swarmed Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Bar Refaeli as the couple tried to board their van after a visit to the Western Wall. We're told the that the intense crush left the van with severe body damage.

After the celeb couple left the scene, several members of the paparazzi complained to local police that they had been assaulted by two security guards who were working for the star. Those two guards were brought in for questioning. After sorting out the details, police issued several 30-day restraining orders against the paps, ordering them to stay away from Leo and Bar.

According to Reuters, photographers waited for the couple outside nearby tunnels. The visit of the "Departed" star and his S.I. girlfriend has stirred up a media frenzy in Israel.

Celebrities routinely use the media to become just that . . . celebrities . . . so why do they expect to be left alone once they reach their goal of international recognition? . . . if they really don't want to be photographed why not stay off the radar screen? . . . other popular folks have made the hard choice and made themselves scarce when they had enough . . . celebrities should quit whining about the folks that put them on the map . . . but . . . on the other hand . . . it seems that the photogs should be held to some level of responsibility don't ya think? . . . I mean really . . . car damage? . . . car accidents? . . . enthusiasm about your job is great . . .but not when they actually cause physical or property damage . . . they should be held to the same standard as any common vandal or person endangering a human life . . . or are they above the law too?

Israel is unfairly attacked in the press all the time by anti-semites and radical Muslims. Despite this the truth is will prevail in the end. I hope your family in Israel stays safe. Shalom.

21. I'm one of those people who thinks stalkerazzi killed princess Diana and will be responsible for other deaths. I recently decided not to view internet/blog stories with stalkerazzi photos on the front page. Their ranks seem to be growing and their tactics getting more aggressive. It's a wonder at least 10 of them don't get knocked out daily.

24. I agree with the person who said this is a publicity stunt. When Gisele and Leo visited Brazil a couple of years ago they did everything to avoid the press, and it worked. And Gisele is like the most famous person in Brazil, so you can imagine. I bet someone from Bar's side called the paparazzis telling them were they were. Bar will NEVER be Gisele.

I'm from Australia me and and a few freinds went to Israel a few years ago when we finished school we were there for a year and we loved it.We toured the whole country and we met alot of people.Most people whove been to Israel even non jews that ive spoken to develop a strong love and connection to the place.
Lea, Michelle it seems alot of people come on this site to say hateful baseless remarks for wateva reason maybe to get a reaction from sane people or maybe they r just creeps.
The facts speak for themselves Israel is the only democracy in the middle east.
Israels army the with the help of g-d has never lost a war despite being sorounded by all sides by muslim countries always looking for a way to destroy the jewish state.They cant beat us by force or preemtive strikes on yom kippur etc so they try other things like sending refugees into the west bank with one purpose to kill as many israelis as possible.As for bar refaelii i think shes only 19 and shes oviously found her soulmate and father of her children leo decaprio lol i doubt that but shes like anyone else in the entertainment bizness any attention is good bizness for her as my dad says actresses and models r just glorified whores.So for the people criticising israel why dont u go visit israel u might enjoy it and appreciate the beautiful country.
