Amy Winehouse Invades Our Shores

British soul singer Amy Winehouse brought her intoxicating brand of "Bride of Frankenstein" beehive chic stateside on Tuesday.

While the toothy 23-year-old is already a sensation across the pond, Winehouse just made her first U.S. television appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" this week. "Late Show" tapes at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, where another British import, the Beatles, made their landmark American debut in 1964.

Judging from her UK hit song "Rehab," Amy should have no trouble fitting into the Hollywood landscape!

64. she's obviously her own person, and i respect her for that. I really doubt that she's trying to get people to like the way that she LOOKS, i think she might be more about her music. if you think that you have the right to sit here and say all these things about the way she looks and the way she sounds and what not, then... she has the right to do what she wants, wear what she wants. if it works for you, it works for her.
