35. Still not sure how this affects you Cheryl. But here's a tip, either stop being so jealous of other people's success or try accomplishing some of your own so you can reap the same benefits. You need to focus more on the incredible future this woman is offering this child, a home, love, stability and less on symantics.
FYI, if your friends are so stable and desperate, send tell them to Vietnam to get a kid, that country approves adoptions in as little as a month, longest six months.

37. It is very common to change a child's name after adopting. Friends of mine adopted 2 children and the kids wanted to change their names because they were starting a new life. They even picked their own names. She's the mom and she has adopted before so I'm sure she has been advised by doctors and experts regarding adoption. Let's all be happy for them! I'm so tired of everyone thinking that adopted children are not as important or loved as a biological child.

38. I have a friend who has been struggling for over a year to adopt a child from a foreign country and Angelina just gets to buy one because she's famous? I'm sorry, but after the horrific things she said about her beautiful daughter (not the blob thing, the fact that she has trouble meeting her basic needs because she is so priviledged and that she loves her adopted kids more and Brad "knocked her up" and she never wanted to be pregnant) she shouldn't go around buying more kids just so maddox can have someone to play with. Here's a thought: SEND HIM TO SCHOOL! I think Maddox has had his whole life ripped away from him in the last two years. He's got a new Daddy, two new sisters, a new home, and now a new brother. That's a lot of transition. I get wanting a big family but why not wait until the kids are adjusted to the last transition?

40. I think it is terrible...these type of people complain about our government but yet they are no better. I don't watch O , Jolie, Madonna etc. America could have used 2 mil at there adoption agencys. They all dont give a ...... about America then they should not live here either. If all of the STARS would just look at the ones in New Orleans that probally have not any family, and need adotion. but no...I feel they know they wouldn't be able to adopt. Normal people have to wait and thats what they should have to do....its TERRIBLE...

41. Maria, you're right. There is something incredibly wrong with a society that cannot appreciate or see all the good a woman like Angelina Jolie has done.
"all this child had was his name", blah, blah. That alone is the saddest thing, not that fact that his new mother changed his name to make it more palatable.

Something is wrong with a society where any adult thinks it's okay to touch a child or to have sex with a child.
Something is terribly wrong with a society that doesn't even have proper healthcare for their poorest or youngest citizens.
Something is wrong with a society that sits idly by while their President send young men and women to die based on a lie, a president that has created another Vietnam.
Something is wrong with a society that doesn't have the balls or conscience to insist that their government financially secure the medical of the soldiers and the families they come home to.
Something is wrong with a society where executives are paid tens of million dollars a year, and live in a 15000 Sq ft houses, while they pay employees with families minimum wage and no health care coverage.

42. I think it's great Angelina is adopting another orphan... my only question is why would she change the boy's name at the age he is at? I could understand changing it if it were a baby... but 3 years old? I would think that she might want to let him keep the name he has grown up with so far...

43. Andrea - There are NOT orphanages in the US. We have the Foster Care system, which places children in individual homes so that they have "families" until their families can take care of them or until their familes give up their rights so the child can be adopted.

I still don't understand why it matters to all of you where a child is adopted from. All people are created equally, so who gives a rip what country a kid is from if he's one less kid that's homeless?
