87. For what it's worth, I taught several Vietnamese children in Louisiana, and most of them have their given Viet. name, but also have an American name. Granted, Pax is not a common name, but inside he'll always be whatever his given name is. I know Pax is a weird name, but it has a nice meaning, and I also once taught a girl named Paz (another version of peace) whose name grew on me. I just know though that his friends will end up calling him Paxil.

90. These kids aren't Paris Hilton purse puppies. You can't pick the flavor of the month. Someone mentioned it takes longer to adopt in America. I guess that's because we don't give them away. We make sure this isn't some rich fad with a kid left in neglect. We'd like to know the child has a home forever and not just for a while. Money, talks and these kids walk...we can only hope for the best.
