110. DAVE~ It really doesn't matter what someones skin color is, or any of the other ways we "deem" someone different. An insult is an insult. You either show respect and tact, or you try to demean and put down. The way you refer to anyone different than yourself is a direct reflection of who you are. Black, Jewish, Mexican, Homosexual, Mentally Challenged, Physically Challanged, etc. That leaves out all of the disrespectful terms that people use to show their FEAR of someone that's different in any way. Further more, the word Retarded, is no longer acceptable. We don't say Midget, Retard, or Cripple either. The year is 2007!!! When you are a minority of any kind, you would like to be referred to appropriately, and not in the most negative reference that people can find. If your mom is FAT then you would say she is a large woman. See? I guess people just don't give a shit unless they actually ARE one of the minorities in question. Then, once it affects the individual, suddenlly, it's important. I'm glad that I won't have to wait until my son is deployed to Iraq before I understand what they are over there dealing with and why. Simple-minded catch-phrases spouted by ignorant citizens do far more harm than an involved and educated electorate that challenges the very questionable policies and tactics of what is supposed to be a representative government.

So, you may say those who do not agree with your blind and unconditional fascist patriotism "blame America first" or that they wish to "cut and run". You can scream, "These colors don't run!" as you drive down the street--while the shredded tatters of the little flag you've affixed to your car antennae flap about wildly. It doesn't matter, though, because it is evident from your retort that you are either unwilling or unable to think for yourself. You are a follower. You are simple-minded. I say you are, by chance or by choice, an ignorant parrot--and that makes YOU a poor excuse for an American.

The fact that you are spouting verbatim the Bush administration rhetoric about "cut and run" and "what the enemy wants" are proof enough that you do not think for yourself. Here's an example of what thinking for yourself would be: NOT joining the miliitary even though you come from a military background. Not that I am suggesting that you are wrong for joining up. That's your decision and hey, it is a free country, after all.

118. In my opinion, Rock has acted like a racist against Caucasian people for a very long time and it's just not funny anymore. If another comic called Al Sarpton a retard, all hell would break loose. Why is OK for him? The very people who buy or go to his movies, comedy and so on. He calls them crackers. How come he can get away with it? He says it in interviews, shows and such. Look what happened when the N word was used at a club. What's good for one is good another. Would you call people who continue to provide unflagging support for a President who has been surrounded by scandal from the 9/11 "faulty intelligence" to the vengeful compromising of any number of CIA operations and agents by naming Valerie Plame, to the refusing to make public the Cheney Energy Commission meeting minutes, to the Harriet Miers nomination, to the new debacle surrounding Alberto Gonzales smart? What are we naysayers doing to help the country? How about throwing the bums out, as we did by taking back both congress and the senate? How about just expressing our opinions and providing alternate viewpoints. But, oh wait. I guess this administration has got you all thinking that doing that is unamerican, and terroristic. Chew on this for 20 years or so: this President has disrespected YOU and the trust and faith that you have put in him. The country and that we are supposed to stand for is being destroyed by our elected officials, not by the handful of us bright enough or brave enough to have a dissenting opinion. Question: when history judges GW Bush to have been a disaster of a President, and when your children are still busy undoing his damage, will you still insist that he was right all along?
