Birkhead Pulled the Plug

TMZ has learned that the relationship between Larry Birkhead and Debra Opri was kaput several days ago, and it was Birkhead who ended it.

Today Opri has said that there were things Birkhead wanted her to do that made her uncomfortable. We know Birkhead is saying it was he who was uncomfortable for various reasons.

TMZ is aware of multiple reasons why the two parted company. As we first reported, they were butting heads over various issues for weeks. Because of confidences, TMZ cannot be more specific. But we know that last Tuesday, Birkhead sent Opri an e-mail discharging her.

31. Is it a affair between them that would be unethical? Did Larry get a DNA sample and Deb refused to make it public until won in a court of law? I think both Larry & Deb are aiming for the very same thing THAT INNOCENT BABY and I hope she is there when he finally gets the truth!!! Good Luck to them both I admire their strength

33. During the trial, she was locked in an embrace with Larry....................unprofessional to say the very least. And what in the HELL was she doing at Anna's funeral? Would you take your lawyer to a funeral? She was just a loud mouth...............Larry was getting nowhere. One more thing.......................these supposed millions that Anna had are not really there......................the US Supreme Court just gave permission for her to continue to fight for what she believed was her ineritance from Howard Marshall. That money, if it ever comes, is so far down the line. It's disgusting that Howard Stern will not do the right thing and let that baby's DNA be collected to see who her biological father is. If he knew for sure that Dannielynn was not Larry's daughter, why would he consent to let him see her in the Bahama's? HKS is a scumbag from the word go.

34. Tony Potts of Access Hollywood said a few days ago (maybe Tuesday or Wednesday) that there was going to be a big surprise today regarding this actionin the Bahamas. He said he didn't feel comfortable telling it in that interview but he had talked to Larry not long before the interview. H probably knew that Larry was firing Opri.

37. Wow...I hope Howard K. Stern isn't getting under Larry's skin. I know Howard keeps contacting Larry and Debra didn't like that. Howard is smarter than Larry...let's be honest, Larry has actually had to "work" in the last few

The tmz article says it was Tuesday that it ended.

1) Tuesday was the "put up or shut up" article and day in court. Check archives
2) Even Larry said that day his baby wasn't for sale at the press conference? Did he change his mind.
3) Wed. (after the supposed email firing) he went shopping.

Is that because he knows he is now going to make a deal with Howard? or because he is just feeling more confident after firing DO?????

41. I always found Opri to be abrassive. Her speech was sort of truck-driver-ish and it really turned me off. So for that reason I am glad that she is out of the spotlight. At least she is until she gloms onto some other celeberity wanna-be.

So how does everyone figure Larry is living? He's not working and when he does he says he makes $80,000 a year which in LA is just getting by!

42. Don't get hung up on the word "unethical." Opri said in the latest interviews that Stern's camp wanted Larry to allow Howard to have rights to Anna's likeness, etc.... She would consider that selling the baby -- but it really isn't. I call it a means of getting the baby in the fastest way.

43. I don't really care about who fired whom, or if Larry has cut a deal. That would be a huge mistake in my opinion, but my main concern is that Larry get Dannielynn and take her home where she belongs! Take the Bahamian nannie with him so the baby will have some continuity, but just get her home! Howard K. Stern will get his just rewards which will hopefully be put out on the streets first, penniless second, and prison time third...

45. I don't think this was a good move at all......I think Larry at this point wants his baby right now (who can blame him) but to go through the courts is taking to long and unfortunately he is about to make a deal with the devil himself.
