Courteney Cox: "Worse Than I've Ever Looked"

Courteney Cox was relieved to have her 'friends' handy when paparazzi caught her looking like "Dirt" at lunch this weekend.

Dining with sister-in-law Rosanna Arquette and pals Laura Dern and Ben Harper at Patrick's Roadhouse in Santa Monica, Courteney saw the paparazzi and freaked -- taking refuge behind a magazine and saying, "I look worse than I've ever looked, sorry guys!"

After a three-way powwow between Cox, Arquette and Dern, Rosanna scolded photographers, "Come on! you guys are so mean!"

Paps then told Courteney they liked her tabloid drama, "Dirt," and that got a sweet "thank you" from the makeupless star.

1. Those have to be the coolest paps ever! They could've been real asses about getting a shot, but they weren't. You guys just made a good step in the right direction. To bad there are not more like you out there!

2. If I was "famous" I wouldn't ever be caught dead w/out make-up on in public . LOL Good for the paps there! They were really cool and respected Courtney Cox!!

3. I'm not even famous and I will not go outside unless I have blush, cover up for my dark circles (hereditary from my mom), curl my eye lashes, and mascara.

5. ahhahaha that's funny, but it was also sweet that she was nice about it and tried to explain why she didn't want her pic taken, while peeking over the top of a magazine. She seems nice and I'm sure that since she was cool about it, the pap backed off. The end was also funny when she turned around and said "You do?" whilce making sure the mag was still in front of her face. Funny.

6. Courtney Cox is so good in "Dirt". She managed to create a vulnerable - even sympathetic - Queen Bitch character. How hard is that? Few pull it off - but she did!

8. Courtney Cox is s pretty she doe not need make up. I suspect she would be even more likable if she was not so pefect looking. I think her husband is hot too. Her on a bad day is better than most women could hope for.
