Haley Scarnato Is Covered in Kat Hair!

It looks like "American Idol" wannabe Haley Scarnato is sporting the same hair extensions previously worn by last season's runner-up, Katharine McPhee. Unbeweavable!

On-set sources tell TMZ that it's not uncommon for the show to recycle things like hair extensions, jewelry and other pricey accessories from contestant to contestant and from season to season. Just keep the communal lady locks away from Sanjaya!

A few weeks back, Simon revealed he couldn't remember Haley's name. Perhaps the McPheever mane will help Haley leave a lasting impression. Or not.

Update:

In a conversation with Lisa Fox on Star 98.7's Morning Show, "American Idol" hair guru Dean Banowetz admitted the extensions belonged to Kat. Don't worry, Banowetz says he "washed them up" before using them on Haley.

17. Comparing yourself to Katharine McPhee is asking for trouble. You will be lucky to come in a distant second. She made Halle Barre look plain. She made Miss Canada look ordinary. She has been described as "Miss Universe - with talent".

And Lulu, you are so sad. Katharine McPhee is in all the magazines and all over TV because she is beautiful and sweet and charming and funny and a gorgeous singer and because they want her.

Your envy is apparent. If you don't have any of the above qualities the least you could do is work on your personality. Alas you are lacking there too.

18. I'm sorry Haley is no comparison to Katharine, vocally and physically! They are trying to turn Haley into Kat this year, to bad Haley is a mediocre singer. This season of AI is horrible.

Oh and to the ass that comapared her to Paris Hilton. Stop smoking crack, McPhee has more class and talent then Paris will ever have. It's not McPhee's fault the media loves her.

24. To John C. Jackson, it's not that women can't grow hair, it's just that they want long hair NOW! It's a way to change one's look. I think they're pretty expensive and painful and time consuming to install, so I'll pass.

26. There is only One Katharine MCPhee, others can try to be like her, but its never going to happen. Kat is a one of a kind super sweet girl. And her voice is far above this one.

28. Haley needs to go, she can't sing that great. Her clothes are getting sluttier, just like Katherine Mcphee. She is acting like a tramp.

29. The truth is, Haley doesn't really "suck". It's just that her voice is too much like everyone elses. It's not distinct and that's what makes her forgettable (which is EXACTLY what Simon has been saying). She is a good singer, but not nearly good enough to be the next Idol. She could be a good hotel singer though.

And no one can lay a finger on Kat when it comes to talent or beauty.
