YIKES ! What Anna WANTED was to not get busted for her drug use AFTER the baby was born. Thats why she didn't want LB to have anything to do with the baby; a possible custody dispute if LB was close by. HKS moves her to the Bahamas so HE can continue to enable Anna to use drugs and Larry couldn't easily engage in a sole custody dispute.

The Addict will do absolutely ANYTHING to protect their supply. Sad but true.

1307. Howard, all of the HKS bashers are just wrong. I can't understand why they don't understand that you are sticking to your word to Anna. She said that you were the father.
You are the only person in her life that she could depend on and anyone with an IQ of 50 could see that you are still trying to do right by her even in death. They want to say that you were the enabler. Blahhhhhhh! You tried to keep her away from drugs by keeping control over them. If you had given Anna an ultimatum, she would have been dead long ago. The stress of her life kept her from coping. Her mother,

dies. I just know that she wanted to die with him. I have a son and I would just go
crazy if anything happened to him. I think she snapped. When one checks out emotionally
they do seem to be dazed and confused. I know you were doing every thing that you could
do to take care of every l i t t l e d e t a i l for someone that really needed a fulltime staff of many. I loved Anna but the truth is the truth. I could go on for ever but most of the people that read this will twist my words to fit their uneducated minds. I have you and Dannielynn

1308. "On The Record" just reported that Daniel's Inquest has been postponed until Tuesday at 10AM. Dr. Perper will release the cause of death of Anna on Monday at 10:30 AM. At Daniel's Inquest 40 witnesses will be called and the Inquest may take 2 to 3 weeks.

I see the irony in your post. But you raise an important point that is often missed. Stern Is hiding behind a peculiar law in the Bahamas. That is why he move there.

So to answer your question.
Under Bahamian law, Tom Cruise would have to sign the Birth Certificate to say he is the father. The law then says he is the putative (presumed) father. (The Bahamas has a very high illegitimacy rate.)

The Birth Certificate / "legal" father can be challenged by someone one claims to be the biological father.

I just don't understand why some people would like to see Dannielynn kept from her biological father. This baffles me. If Larry Birkhead turns out to be the father, why should he be denied access to his child? We can all draw our own conclusions about what we think of Larry Birkhead but does this make him an unfit parent? I don't know how anyone can state with certainty what kind of father Larry Birkhead would be considering he has never been given an iota of opportunity. Larry has been denied access to the child basically since she was born. If he does turn out to be the father - Anna herself picked him, he was good enough to sleep with and make a baby with so he should be good enough to father the baby.

Howard K. Stern signed the birth certificate because he had access and opportunity. That does not him the true biological father of this baby. Some say that the child should stay with Howard yet I haven't heard one valid reason or strong point as to why. Of course, people will say negative things about Larry Birkhead based on what they hear in the media and let's say he is a slimeball - is that enough to deny him his child? I've known quite a few slimeball men during my lifetime and guess what? They are good fathers. Think of all the men who are in prisons and their children go to visit them because despite their crimes & mistakes, the children still have love for them. Larry Birkhead may be far from perfect but I just don't view him as being the worst.

As for Howard K. Stern, he might not be the worst man either but I lost a lot of respect for him about putting off paternity testing needlessly for so long. Maybe Anna did want Dannielynn to stay with Howard but it's not right for Anna or Howard to deny Dannielynn her biological father. We can only speculate was to what Anna's wishes were because she is no longer alive to voice exactly what her wishes were. I wonder, would Anna's wishes have changed if she knew Dannielynn would be left brotherless and motherless in a short matter of time? Dannielynn has lost her only sibling, her only mother and the uncertainty of who her real blood father is. I think Dannielynn should know who her father is, it's her right and she deserves it.

When it comes to the issue of the Marshall money this child stands to inherit, I hope the baby never sees a dime of it. To me, this potential money is already creating problems and friction as people are only being accused of wanting the baby for the money. Dannielynn needs love, a family and security far more than she'll ever need money.

I can only wonder what will happen once paternity is established. If Larry is the father, I'm sure he will go after custody of the baby immediately. Custody battles can become so ugly and bitter and I hope for Dannielynn's sake, the parties can come together and do what is best for her. Out of all this mess, I'm sure that is one thing Anna herself would have wanted.

1315. Did anyone see Bonnie on Dr. Phil yesterday ? Anna's friends are afraid for HK$ that he will take his own life. That is something I worry about. If he is that bad who knows if he would take the baby with him. The judges in the Bahamas beter wake up soon.

I saw a bit of Dr. Phil. As much as the story has captivated me, I'm not a Bonnie Stern fan. I don't personally know the woman but I just haven't been too impressed with what I've heard her say. Howard K. Stern is her brother and since she is so emotionally attached, I don't see her opinion as being impartial. I thought her remarks to Virgie Authur after Anna's funeral were nasty and showed a lack of class on her part.

If Howard K. Stern is having difficulty coping, perhaps he should seek and be encouraged towards some professional help. I agree, some people who are in mental crisis do take their children 'with them' because they think the children are better off. Desperate people do desperate things.

1317. i hope howard is the father, too because that is what anna wanted. if she wanted the other "dudes" to be father to this baby, she wouldn't have had howard play the ever-so-important role of father for this little girl. she grew up without a father, and obviously she knew, and it has been proven, howard sticks, would stick, and would have stuck with her through any or all of life's difficulties. i do feel sorry for him because his life is turned upside down, and all of the people who think he had something to do with her death, i just want to know and understand what his motive would be. his life is so "up in the air" right now, and i feel for him. I feel for larry, too though because he did go on a shopping spree for the baby, but i really and truly think that baby looks like howard. we'll see...

If Anna wanted Howard to keep the baby and raise her, why didn't she make sure he was the one she conceived with?
To say "That's what Anna wanted" isn't a good enough reason to deny a man his biological child. Anna may have wanted a lot of things but that doesn't make it right. Since Anna Nicole is dead now, it should be about the baby and her best interests.
