DNA is a D-O-N-E Deal

Howard K. Stern and Larry BirkheadDNA samples of Dannielynn and Larry Birkhead are in the bag, according to MSNBC's Rita Cosby.

Cosby broke the story and TMZ has confirmed that Birkhead and baby were both at a Bahamas doctor's office at 9 this morning and had samples taken. Howard K. Stern's DNA was not taken because by law there is a presumption that he's the father since he's listed as such on the birth certificate.

We're told Birkhead saw Dannielynn in the doctor's office.

If Birkhead's DNA matches Dannielynn's, he can then challenge Stern to pony up DNA and fight for custody.

We're told the samples will be sent to a DNA lab in Columbus, Ohio and will be sent back to the Bahamas in four days.

Sad as it may be, this poor little girl desperately needs to be with her real father.
Only then can Anna Nicole's daughter have a chance at what remains of her family.

So for her sake, I hope this goes through rapidly and with as little drama as possible.

36. OH, I AM SO HAPPY THAT THIS DNA HAS BEEN DONE FINALLY. I WILL PRAY WITH MY WHOLE HEART FOR LARRY TO BE ABLE TO TAKE HIS BABY HIOME SOON BUT I AM NOT GOING TO HOLD MY BREATH JUST YET. 37. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This DNA, and ANS drama has no end in sight.
Hoping Dannielynn is taken away from this SOB Stern once and for all.
Drugs were so rampant in that house, why isn't this kid gone from Horizons.
I guess you can die in the Bahamas, they lack a sense of urgency!

40. If the DNA matches both of them then HKS should just turn the baby over to Larry to start raising the child. This is ludacrious all the hoops that this person has to go thru, esp since the mother is dead, then in that case the child should go to the grandmother. People better wake up, this baby needs a family that it can start to grow in even dogs and cats get placed faster then this child and believe me they do a check on them before they turn the animal over to the adopted owners
So come on move this along the inquest is Monday and we will have more drama again,

Larry will have to fight because Howard's name is on the birth certificate. And that's a legal and binding document. Sometimes the law really sucks.

44. I had a DNA test done by the same company. The first said the father was not the father, and I went through another company and they said he was the father.....Long story short the first company took another test and they admitted they made a mistake!
