Anna's Diaries Sell for More Than Half a Mil

Anna Nicole SmithAttention Howard K. Stern: Anna Nicole Smith's most private possessions are a frickin' gold mine.

TMZ has learned that in an eBay auction, a businessman from Hamburg, Germany just dropped $512,500 on two handwritten diaries, penned by Anna Nicole between 1992 and 1994.

According to the seller, Thomas Riccio of Universal Rarities, the winner is "a huge fan" of the former Playboy Playmate, but wishes to remain anonymous. The German outbid fans from all over the world, including the United States, England and even the Bahamas.

A bidding war has broken out over ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s diaries, in which she talks about a pregnancy scare in the early 1990s, her drug use and her love for late husband J HOWARD MARSHALL.

A collector, who lived next door to Smith, claimed the diaries and various Smith memorabilia when her mother was throwing it out - years before Anna Nicole became a big star. He kept the haul and offered it to the bosses of sports memorabilia website UniversalRarities.com late last year (06). Site bosses, STEVEN WOOLF and THOMAS RICCIO, have spent months authenticating the diaries from 1992 to 1995, and now they’re selling them to the highest bidder on auction website eBay.

In one 1992 journal entry, the tragic model worries about telling a boyfriend she might be pregnant with his child - and considers abortion. She writes, “He will only support me if I have it. But if I decide to go the other way he won’t. I’ll be on my own. I think that’s tacky. I’m scared.”

In another “unseen” and “secret diary” she talks about her feelings for late-husband J HOWARD MARSHALL. The journal ends on the day he died in 1995. And there are also entries detailing the pills Anna Nicole took before going to bed.

Riccio insists the diaries stand to net him and his partner a small fortune: “People are putting the estimated value per diary at $500,000 to a million. “Anna Nicole just pours out her soul, page after page, and it’s an unbelievably interesting read. It’s like a soap opera. It starts with nothing, and it ends up with her finding the fame that she craved.”

The live auction of Anna Nicole’s items will be auctioned off on 22 March (07).

84. #10--Why would it go to Dannilynn, her mother threw it in the garbage 10 years ago?

I read something earlier in another blog about Dannilynn and the estate. If somebody ever OPENS one, ALL creditors get paid FIRST, including the taxman and the executor. You're all being very altruistic, but life doesn't work that way. Let's hope there is something left. The way Howard's tearing through it with the lawyers, the estate will probably have to file bankruptcy....again.

There is NOTHING wrong with selling these items. The owner was on TV and said he has owned them for many years. It is standard that such things are more valuable after a person dies.

ANNA had a vast collection of MARILYN MONROE memorabilia, which she paid a fortune for.

These items are PIECES OF HISTORY and any rightful owner has a right to sell them.

One-of-a-kind pieces of history are highly coveted and there are lots of people willing to pay whatever is necessary.

And now is the time to sell because I don't think ANS is going to be so marketable after a couple of years. She contributed nothing to society.

88. On Dr. Phil today -

No, they did NOT take Stern's side, it was just civlized. that guy Kevin from ET actually spoke up for Larry, on behalf of him being the dad, not Stern, about Smith being doped up on that infoamous day of the music awards. Wow.... I was quite surprised! Pleasantly!
Then, Tern's sister spoke but Phil really put it to her about taking a DNA test. SHe was squirming. I think it went rather well, actualy, not a Stern support group, at all. And the audience was COMPLETELY in Larry's corner! Phil even put up side by side photos with the baby to support Larry!

89. Listen folks, all this stuff is selling for big bucks because all of the hype!! Once the daddy is determined and Larry has the child, the Horizons house goes back to it's lawful owner and HKS is out on his ass and can't collect anything more from Anna's estate, then no one is going to still be paying this kind of money for this stuff.

Kind of like beanie babies. They ain't worth crap now. Now that the hype is over.

When Princess Diana first died, there was stuff on ebay selling for major bucks, like bride dolls selling for $5000. Now those same dolls are only selling for a couple of hundred.
