485. To Standup..Do you not have a brain in your head.. How old is Dannilynn?? I love TMZ but do you really think she's going back to this blog in 20 years? I'm sure TMZ is feeling quite secure after reading your post..lol. Also worry more about the books, movies, to follow yet..the mere fact that 20 people possibly could have been her father, the dirty deals, druggie life, the sex for money, property, wheww..i'll just stop here..i'd worry more about Stern getting control of her likness and what he might do or reveal for the MONEYYYYYY...only Anna is responsbile bottom line... basically for her life..nothing written on a blog..all she has to do is read transcripts of the various court procedures..the videos etc. So don't show your lack of intelligence to blame TMZ or anyone about how her daughter might view her mom...case closed!

Chloral hydrate, a rarely prescribed sedative, is known to be fatal if combined with certain other drugs – including the sedative Lorazepam, which the autopsy showed Smith was taking, Dr. Chip Walls, a forensic toxicologist for the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, told the AP.

"It's very toxic if you mix it with any other central nervous system depressant drugs," Walls said. "You could get profound sedation leading up to coma and respiratory arrest."

The AP reported Tuesday that Stern’s lawyer said the chloral hydrate was prescribed for Smith by her friend and psychiatrist, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, who also traveled with her to Florida. "She was having nightmares. She was having hallucinations. She was unable to sleep," Sanchez said, adding that Eroshevich turned to "an older, tried and true drug" because it was more effective for Smith than newer sleeping medicines.

489. First I am not a Dr. but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure some things out. Reading the autopsy, why does it not list the 3 antidepressants by name? What about the white lesions on the brain? Many causes for that, MS, Lyme disease, Psuedo tumor just to name a few? No explanation given that I read or heard. Injections, it lists B12, not uncommon but what were the other injections? Given in left buttocks, is that impossible to do yourself if your right handed......no it isn't but why would you? If your right handed why not use an area that is easy to inject, like your arm or your stomach? B12 is administered like a diabetic would inject oneself. does no one realize that this tractable woman is no different than a woman who has been physically or mentally abused and has allowed herself to be separated by a controlling person (Stern) from her family just as an abuser does. Slowly drawn away from those who care, led into a life of drugs so she could not make decisions for herself? Mr. Stern being a lawyer didn't waste time getting her into a country that laws do not permit for Larry to even have a DNA test. A simple lay person as myself can see the forest through the tree's as to his intent. I guess blood isn't always thicker than water but money sure is! It's pathetic, Instead we see people capitlolizing on a woman's death for the benefit of their own chance at fame in Hollywood.

Pathetic.

We had to know what killed her, of course.

But when the last word on Anna Nicole Smith's death was grimly delivered Monday in a coroner's report, it quickly became clear that the barest details - just as it was when she was alive - would not be nearly enough to satisfy us.

No, we had to continue reading, wincing at all the scars she bore, considering the size of the breast implants. We took note of the true color of her bleach blond hair and ruminated over the many tattoos.

Just what did it mean, the one on her right, lower leg, whose many elements included an image of the Bible intertwined with a heart and shooting flames and the smiling face of Marilyn Monroe?

We never really could help ourselves when it came to Anna Nicole Smith, though doing so felt tawdry, cheap. And, reading over the autopsy results released by the Broward County Medical Examiner's office, it becomes clear Smith's death has changed nothing.

There was that same feeling again Monday - queasily satisfying, uncomfortably familiar.

We knew too much about this bombshell when she was alive, the result of her frenetic embrace of celebrity and our inability to stop rubbernecking at the spectacle. She bared it all again and again. And every time, it seemed we couldn't bear to look away.

Smith's curiously salacious life was characterized by a series of very public choices. But the story never would have been complete if the public hadn't been so consumed by the drama.

In death, it is more of the same. Smith, it is clear, died the way she lived - recklessly, unnaturally. Then again, we didn't need a medical examiner's report to know that.

The report, though, continues the story almost in a way that Smith might have orchestrated it - full of salacious detail, compelling to the end. And like so much else about her, it is terribly sad.

Smith, identified in the report by her real name, Vickie Lynn Marshall, died from ingesting a toxic, but accidental, combination of a sleeping medication and at least eight other prescription drugs. Before her death, she had suffered from a bacterial infection from injecting drugs into her buttocks.

It's not necessary to read beyond the first page to understand what caused Smith's death. But seven more pages follow. While stopping at the first would be respectful, it also would be unnatural. With Smith's death, as in life, it seems, we still can't help ourselves.
