1053. what is happening on these boards is very disconcerting. IT demonstrates a human race out of control. Mean, viscious, aggressive, threatening posts based purely on conjectures, heresays and gossip. The Anna Nicole story is not the issue for me, but our human reaction is enough to make me sick to my stomach. You speak so freely about people you dont know, situations you have very little facts on and yet you spew hatred with such passion. Dannielynn will be fine.... it is the human race I am more concerned about. Very sad indeed.

1060. "LAWYERS" FOR THE MURDERER:

YOU COULD HIRE EVERY PR FIRM IN THIS COUNTRY BUT THAT'S NOT GOING TO CHANGE THE FACT THAT YOUR CLIENT MURDERED TWO (2) PEOPLE. YOU WOULD BE WASTING YOUR MONEY. HOW COULD YOU LOWER YOURSELVES TO DEFEND THAT CREEP!

1062. How could Anna give a statement after Daniels death. Wasn't she heavily sedated?? When my friend lost her 21 year old son suddenly she was heavily sedated for the first few days and barely knew the people around her not only from sedation but from the overwhelming grief. Does anyone know when this statement was taken?

HKS seems so phony. He followed this woman around like a panting puppy, knowing full well she was sleeping around. Yet he claims to have loved her. How pathetic is that. I sure hope the truth does eventually come out as to whether he was blackmailing her. His controlling behaviors is being displayed to the public now. When he made the comment to LB about how "we could have talked" as tho Dannylynn is some piece of furniture with a price tag on her and with all his other demands it just shows what a control freak he is.

1063. Why do some keep saying HKS got that Marshall case all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court? He didn't. Ron Rale did. Howie only 'helped' here and there. He is an entertainment lawyer, and had only one client...ANS. He has more experience pimping her out than protecting her interests. He's far more experience in being methodical and calculated in doing things in his best interest.

1022. O'Quinn's accomplishments have not been without controversy

By MIKE TOLSON
Copyright 1997 Houston Chronicle

In the world beyond, however, O'Quinn enjoys no such immunity. As the unchallenged king of breast implant litigation, his name may be synonymous with success, but not success alone. One reminder of that came last month when he pleaded guilty to an ethics breach in South Carolina. Seven other misdemeanor charges of illegally soliciting cases were dropped. In exchange, the state was spared the expense of a trial and collected a quarter-million dollars in penalty to boot.

South Carolina Attorney General Charles Condon threw down the gauntlet after announcing the deal.

"Although the conduct occurred here, defendant O'Quinn has a history with the State Bar of Texas, and it's really Texas' problem," Condon said. "And I just challenge them to follow through on enforcing their own rules."

There also was the embarrassment of pleading no contest in a local county court to a charge of driving while intoxicated. And just for insult, a poll of the Texas Young Lawyers Association placed O'Quinn at the top of the list of most disliked attorneys in the state.

On the record, other friends and associates around Houston are equally circumspect in their comments. But privately they admit they are very concerned about the possibility of a renewed drinking problem. Reports of binges, exaggerated or not, have spread among them and the rest of the Houston legal community.

Another former partner suggested that O'Quinn has skirted the edges of depression for years, alternately medicating himself with adrenaline and booze.

Perhaps no one knows him well enough to offer a full explanation.
