137. As far as her weightloss goes, it was none of the above. It was colonics. She said in more than one interview she had them on a regular basis, and I personally know people who have taken that route. ugh, but it works.

141. I have had some experience with human growth hormone and I am surprised about the claim that it improves longevity or aids in weight loss. I know of people who needed growth hormone replacement for medical reasons. Before this hormone was produced with new technical methods, it was made from cadavers. This method resulted in very little medication and children who needed it were lucky to get one injection a month. Once it became more available, many more children who needed it were accommodated. Although there was some "weight loss" in these early subjects, I believe it was associated with the normal growth changes which are common to all children as they progress through childhood. I know of no weight loss magic from this drug that didn't require the same efforts that the rest of us mature adults have to make.

I know many people who use Slimfast for convenient replacements for lunch or for diet supplements but it would be a poor choice for anyone who was dehydrated from flu. I thought the doctor stated that Anna drank pedialyte, which would make more sense for an ill person who needed hydration. I would be suspicious of anyone's claim for how Anna lost weight. There was no evidence of recent lyposuction. If Slimfast could turn us ladies into Anna's shape, the grocery stores wouldn't be able to keep it in stock. Weight loss comes from decreasing calories eaten and/or increasing the amount of calories burned. If viewers harken back to her tv reality show, they will be reminded of her herculean efforts to regain a model's shape. Nothing resembling her remarkable shape is achieved through surgery or drug use alone.

I wonder why so little attention has been paid to other reasons for the death of both Daniel and Anna. I have trouble believing that either of these took (for them) an unusual amount of drugs on the day they died. I would want to know if there was a relationship between dehydration and drug toxicity. Air flights, especially long ones, can result in dehydration and water may not have been available on the plane (remember the embargo?). Alcohol is dehydrating. Warmth is dehydrating through perspiration. An intestinal virus is dehydrating and so is the flu. Diarreha and vomiting certainly dehydrate, sometimes to a deadly level. Does a dehydrated person have a greater risk of drug toxicity if dehydration is present simultaneously?

Sleep apnea - I cannot find this addressed anywhere, but it was reported that Anna Nicole was discovered with her head flexed forward and her mouth open. Breathing can become shallow during sleep. If she was so deeply sleeping might apnea be one of the factors which made a difference between being able to reposition herself so that fuller breathing was possible? Same question for Daniel. Hospital beds generally aren't for two tall folks that are exhausted from childbirth and flying cross country. Could all three of these factors have combined to cause death? I would sure like to know, as just about any of us could be in a similar position. My understanding of sleep apnea is that once it's diagnosed, it must be treated. It can be quite deadly.

As for methadone: if one looks up this drug one finds that it has been studied for safety during pregnancy. Find me another in its class that has been studied as much. If it is as safe as the study purports, will its usefulness for recovering heroin addicts be unfairly stigmatized by ignorant statements about it from tv and radio commentaters?

142. Sleep Apnea : I am not a doc but I know that people with Apnea could stop breathing while sleeping. I would think that the last thing you would want to do is put someone with that condition into a deeper sleep with Chloral Hydrate. You are talking about Crescormon which was taken from the pituitary of cadavers. Growth Hormone is now synthetic and used by bodybuilders for muscularity. Increased muscle mass increases metabolic rate which means that it aides in weight loss.

Why didn't he buy Trim Spa. That would have made more sense and how did he happen to have the same drug (Methadone) that was found in Anna's system. (just a coincidence huh?) First Goen said the pic was a fake now he is saying the Slim Fast in the fridge and on the night stand belonged to Ann's shrink friend. It cracks me up that the people who say O.J. Stern is innocent until proven guilty want to throw Ford Shelly into jail. I have heard that Shelly is going to testify that he saw Stern remove Methadone tabs from Daniel's pants after he died. If that is true I could see why you Howard supporters would want Shelly in jail. Maybe that is why his lawyers are trying so hard to get the inquest posponed indefinately even though Howard is only testifying.

It has recently come to light that the lawyers representing Howard K. Stern have hired a public relations firm in an effort to turn his reputation around. A source who is an employee at the office of one of Stern's several lawyers says that Stern's team of advocates are "desperate" and "quite alarmed" that, despite their best efforts to sway public opinion in Mr. Stern's favor, polls indicate that the vast majority of respondents remain vehemently convinced that Stern played a role in the deaths of model Anna Nicole Smith, 39, and her 20-year old son Daniel Wayne Smith.

"The lawyers are scrambling," says the source, who prefers to remain anonymous. "I think they figured people would change their minds after the [autopsy] report was released."

On Monday of this week, Dr.Joshua Perper, Medical Examiner for Broward County in Florida, released his autopsy findings. Dr. Perper determined that Ms. Smith died as a result of a drug overdose and that her death was an accident.

Based on one recent poll, 9 out of 10 respondents did not agree that her death was an accident.

"The blogs are saying differently," our source said. "A lot of people are wondering how the medical examiner could base his findings on testimony that came from people who would be the first ones to lie if they had anything to hide."

According to our source, the internet is filled with blogs, or message boards, where the public can post their opinions about the Anna Nicole Smith case. One such blog can be found at TMZ.com, an entertainment site that posts news related story about celebrities.

"Mr. Stern's folks have been monitoring the blogs for months now," our source said. "They've been trying really hard to change people minds [about Mr. Stern]. The problem has mushroomed and it’s beyond their capabilities to handle.

"I suppose because they're figuring he may be facing charges here [in the United States], they hired our agency. Part of our job will be to go on the blogs and try to get people to change their minds about their client. People's opinions can affect the jury pool and change the outcome of a trial."

Coincidentally, Mr. Stern's concerns about a tainted jury resulted in an unexpected delay in yesterday's inquest proceedings in the Bahamas. The delay came about because of Mr. Stern's wish to do away with the jury or at least have the opportunity to question the 7-person panel about their impartiality. Such a request is unprecedented. The inquest procedure is rooted in a Common Law tradition dating back almost 300 years.

148. I lost wieght like crazy on the Anti-Aging hormones. I took them for 2 and a half years. All the movie stars take them,but they are so expensive! I stopped 6 months ago and i've gained 25 lbs.
