Alaina's "A.I." Showmance?

31. I think it is an absolute disgrace for Sanjaya to still be on The American Idol. It's not right for better singer's to be voted off becauce young kids think he's cute and vote many many times just to keep him on the show. It goes against what the show was establish for, " To find the best Singer in America" . Look at some of the seasons in the past how second, third ,or fourth place finishers have established careers, the winner's didn't achieve. Why ? Because they had a gimmic or an appeal the public liked at the moment and keep them in while the better singers who deserved to win were voted off. Everyone cuts down Randy, Paula, and Simon because of the comments they make, but after all they are the experts of the industy and have brought up many famous and truely gifted entertainer's who really do deserve the fame and the right to go forward because of their talents. Sanjaya is not a good singer and is only being keep on the show for all the wrong reasons..What a disgrace it is and he is to the industry and to American Idol. The show is being destroyed and the final decisions of who stays should be up to the experts not a bunch of kids voting for all the wrong reasons.Gifted/talented singer's are being wronged by this. It's time to get rid of a no talented singer so one ahat truely has talent can do what God had gifted them to do....

I have watched American Idol since its Beginning...i have never come across a singer that could not carry a tune if it was in a bushel basket...but this year is the exception with Sanjaya...someone needs to inform him that self praise stinks....he is not that good...i am not sure who is voting for him but who ever it is has a tin ear and no comprehension of what a good singer sounds like...HK Stern is really making a mockery of him but promoting votes for him...Please America lets get it together and get rid of Sanjaya....

38. Im really disturbed about the whole thing. Did you notice the way Sanjaya is starting to get cockey with the judges. He's an ass. with no talent. As far as Howard Stern and friends are they are stupid ass's . If there are calls coming from India, they should be charged. Or start their own show over there. American Idol should controll the amount of calls from each phone. The dancing with starts does it, they are only allowed so many calls. Also who in their right mind would give Sanjaya a contract, least of all who would buy it. It's a shame for the serious people who have some talent because its seems like it doesnt matter. American Idol better get it together because if not I think the show will lose alot of viewers. ........Just my opionion.

40. This comment is for Great Dane. First of all, learn how to write and second of all they can sing plus they're great looking people too. I wish people can learn to be nice, we don't even know them so we don't have the right to judge them. Who care if they are dating or not, they should be able to hang out without any comments from anyone. My guess is that they're probably just hanging out

42. Who cares if the 2 are dating or not? (Alaina looks a LOT like a young Jennifer Anniston to me, BTW). And Chris Rich seems like a nice enuff guy. Now, a talent comparison, IMHO:

Chris Rich outsings Blake Hippity Hop every week, but Chris has no gimmick. Phil flat-out outsings both of em, on a bad night! Blake 's last song was weak and pitchy, and he is VERY cocky (something the judges usually disdain, re: Chris Sly) But the judges praise Blake. Why doesn't he get the same "fair" critique as Chris Rich? Because they were relieved that Blake actually DIDN'T pseudo break dance or make those annoying DJ noise, LOL!

And then Sanjaya, hmm. They don't even bother critiquing him AT ALL! They are wowed by his freakiness, so like Simon said, "why bother?". And Randy & Paula comment on how he COULD maybe sing OK, if he really wanted to? Funny I thought they were already supposed to be the "best" they could find in ALL of America. Different rules for different deographics I guess. Like Stephanie... one of the best singers ever on the show, got mercillously bashed week after week. Timing was off maybe a little, but 10 X difficulty level, and 10 X better than any of the guys. Sorry guys, it's true.

But Paula gushes all over Blake cuz of his MJ wannabee dance moves and hip thrusts. He makes her all giggly and weak in the knees, like a little school girl. And she wants to see him in the Finals? Over who? Melinda, Lakisha, Jordan? Maybe she'll get her wish, and it will be Blake and Sanjaya in the Finals, the 2 gimmick guys. To hell with singing, and all will be "right" with the world ; )...

43. If I'm not mistaken she's engaged. But whether she is or not isn't important. Why can't people mind their business? And maybe everyone sees them together and "assumes" they're a couple instead of good friends. I agree with Dubai...just because a male and female are friends doesn't mean they have something going on more than friendship. I think people have way too much time on their hands and are just looking for "idol" gossip. If I had a "relationship" with every male FRIEND that I have I wouldn't have time to watch American Idol. Rumors are just that.....rumors. That's how reputations and relationships are ruined....rumors getting started. Have more than just a picture to back up a story.
