48. Sanjaya, realize that nobody will ever buy your CDs. You are most likely paid by the other networks who cannot even closely compete to FOX. If you want to be a hero, leave the show "personal reasons" and America will forgive you and might even start liking you! You must know that you do not deserve to be still in this competition! Stay and make a fool of yourself and kill a great family show!

50. Has anyone considered that it isn't the public who is really keeping Sanjaya around, but AI themselves to increase the ratings? Has anyone checked if the ratings are increasing every week that Sanjaya stays? Don't you think it is odd that he has never been in the bottom two or three? There can't be THAT many sympathy votes out there, if there is...then I am going to try out for AI next year.....LOL Besides, this fact has already been pointed out....the judges are the ones who put him in the top 24. They also put Sundance through when he clearly forgot the words during LA week. AI is a very entertaining show, but lets face it, they aren't in business to make stars, they are in business to make money.

51. I thought American Idol was a talent contest - looking for the best rising new star. It's really sad that Sanjaya is getting voted to stay on - it's really like a joke and one of the good contestants will suffer each week when they get voted off instead of him. If this continues I doubt American Idol will be on much longer.

That thought has crossed my mind a time or two...or three..etc. The comments the judges make alone seem to also be an attempt to increase the ratings and/or sway public opinion. Simon basic gave up. In so many words, he said that it did not matter what the judges said...America would put Sanjaya through anyway. They joke excessively during times they are in favor or maybe even against a participant. Notice I didn't say contestant...that would be a joke & America...This is not Funny!

Sanjaya is very cute with a beautiful smile. but that shouldn't be enough to kick off the good singer in order to let him stay. i really enjoyed AI but ater this kinda of voting i am not going to watch the next season. The truth is that sanjaya can sing better then me but not better then the other contestants. And i know i can't sing a note. but i know one when i hear it and he just don't got it. he do got the looks though ha ha. they need to just let him go so he can go and really work on his voice and come back next season. And for the record Ruben can sing he maybe big but the dude can sing and should have won as he did.

58. Ok people we need top put issue to rest. Stop giving the kid press and letting him piss you off because that's what gets him votes. And are you people even voting? I mean we need to give the kid the cold shoulder. Someone tell Howard we love Sanjaya and hope he stays forever and ever. I don't even want to watch the show anymore because better people keep getting voted off. I mean i didn't think brandon or Chris would be the idol but they were better than Sanjaya. It's scary to think he might be in finale. I mean my god he isn't even in the bottom three anymore! Vote for the people not with the most talent but anyone besides Sanjaya. I think when Haley, Phil and Gina go and the best talent is left Sanjaya will fall, he won't be there long but I do think he will continue to stay for a few more weeks. see America idol 2 times week for the last 2 years and loved it untell now.
America Idol was all about best singer but what happen?someone like Sanjaya
who can't sing make America idol look bad,and not even in botton 3 .sending good
