46. This will tough for some to hear..... I really believe if these so-called "Sanjaya fans" are really his "fans" then they should stop voting for him. It was cute at first to see if they could drive him into the top 10. He's there, you'll get him all summer, but if you guys keep being Howard Stern's sheep while he boosts his ego by swaying the vote of this popular show, the victim is going to be the 17 old who can't sing. Are you "fans" even remotely curious what's going to happen to this 17 year old when he starts buying into the idea that he can "sing"?? I like him and his crazy personality, but if YOU like him, then you will save him this devastation when he launches his(EEK!) solo tour!!!!

47. Sanjaya is brilliant. I don't know who's behind this but Sanjaya is going to get more then his 15 minutes. As for the girl,where are her parents? As a parent,I would absolutely have a serious talk with my kid if this was the case.Does she know what danger shes putting herself in and for what,attention! Please grow up and have something to eat.

49. You all realize this "J" person is on the internet, which means she or he IS EATING but just pretending to be on a hunger strike. After two weeks with no food, you woulnd't be able to fuction. She or he is trying to siphon off some of Sanjaya's fame, except she doesnt' even have a talent aside from playing pretend.

55. I think he sings better then most of the idiots that are wealthy because of the CD's they have sold. Look at all of the CD's Britney, JLO, Hillary Duff, Mandy Moore, Justin Timberlake, The Hansons, Paris Hilton, (just to name a few) have sold without having any real singing talent. If you are between the ages of 10 and 14 you might like their music but, after that forget about it. He appeals to the little screaming girls in the world. It's AI's fault for voting him in to the contest. They should have kicked him out but left him in for the appeal of the teeny boppers now it has come back to bite them in the ass.
I think everyone should keep voting for him and hopefully he will win the stupid contest. Cant believe people get this worked up over something so silly.

56. I can't believe some of you idiots are blaming India or Howard Stern or Vote for the Worst. Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe Sanjaya is the perfect example of what a 'pop idol' is supposed to be?

He can sing well enough, he's absolutely adorable, he's photogenic, he's very entertaining and he's young. He's custom made for the cover of Teen Beat and Bop and for glossy calendars and trading cards and all the other products the marketing people are already designing.

He's very close to what the original Pop Idol was in England years ago. This kid is every bit of a young Will Young and look where he is. He's probably about the only Idol winner who's been able to shake the title and come into his own as an entertainer. After all, how many other Idol winners are making their film debuts with Judy Dench?

I see Sanjaya going the same way. It's so insane to say he can't sing because he can sing. He might not be the strongest singer in the world, but to say he can't sing is ignorant. So much of the hate for him frightens me because it's either homophobia resulting from the speculation about his sexuality or racism because he's not some all American baseball player.

Face it. Sanjaya is what a popstar should be. He is well on his way to becoming a teen idol which is what this show is all about. They're not looking for a person who's just a talented singer. They're looking for a product. And he is exactly what they look for when they're deciding what to sell to the next generation of teen and tween girls.

Day 12


Sorry this wasn't up last night guys, I was just way too exhausted to even get into how I felt about last night's elimination. I thought it better to wait until today to be better rested.

I first want to say thanks to TMZ and the rest of you guys for worrying so much about me since then, that really means a lot. It's helping to get me through a rough time. Don't worry though, I'm still alive.

Of course Sanjaya should have been eliminated last night based on Tuesday's performances, that's a no brainer. Though for whatever reason, when the results were read I wasn't shocked by the outcome. Horribly dissapointed yes, but it seems like there is some part of me that is just getting used to him constantly being able to survive. Regardless, as much as I thought Chris Sligh was a good singer, if this were a "normal" season of American Idol and Sanjaya wasn't around, it would have been his night to go last night anyway.

As for me, as I'm sure many of you realized I wasn't really keeping up well with the page yesterday. Sorry about that. I am still feeling the toll this is taking on me. Another 7 days doesn't seem that bad though, so let's gear up for next week and boot Sanjaya at last!

I think I may actually have some suprises for you guys to look forward to in the next few days, I'll keep you posted.

60. if ANYONE is going to starve themselves over something as dumb as american idol.. i say let them go. they obviously have no life, no job, no family, no nothing to put forth effort for living. do you think someone that actually had a family and a job would actually put themselves through this agony. this is the type of person that sits home all day eating bon bons and collecting welfare checks. this person is a ridiculous loser. so i say starve yourself to death because if you don't care then why should anyone else. idiot.
