The Price is Right for George H.

George HamiltonTMZ has learned that George Hamilton is the front-runner to replace Bob Barker on the "Price is Right."

We're told that CBS honcho Les Moonves and the show's producers think George is "wonderfully charming" and "could really make the show work."

We'll let you know if and when the perma-tanned TV titan is told to "come on down!"

76. do not replace the guy, he has been a staple to the show since i dont know when. You cant replace the man who built the show to what it is today, just let the show go down with him being the one who made it what it is today. NOBODY and i do mean NOBODY would accept any other person to take his place just because he has been on there sooooooo long. Tha is why it lasted so long because people got used to one face and he had a personality, so don't belittle the man who helped bring the show to the status it is today because in the end - YOU WILL ULTIMATELY LOSE!!!

77. I have been a fan of the price is right since the beginning and I love Bob Barker as the host. He was a wonderful caring person with a great sense of humor who loved all his contestants. George Hamilton is the worst choice with a egotistical personality and stuck on himself. If he becomes the host I will not watch the show.

78. I think the show should just end. It has had a long life and now needs to rest in peace. No one can replace Bob Barker so why try and then have the show go out on a low note. Let it go out in a blaze of glory!!

79. George Hamilton as the new host of The Price is Right ? Yuck! Mario Lopez, Wayne Brady, or John O'Hurley would be a better choice.

80. OH MY GOD!! you have got to be kidding me......this hamilton guy is a rather lousy choice as the successor......i mean, come on! i always thought Rich Fields was right for the job......he knows all the basic stuff on the pricing games.....and plus he's got just as much hosting experience....... he definetly has my vote.

81. George Hamilton is not right for this show. JD Roberto should be the new host. He has done the Atlantic City version of the Price is Right and knows this show inside out. I would prefer a virtual Bob Barker instead of George Hamilton.

82. How about Marc Summers?

83. I have been watching The Price is Right for years. George Hamilton is the wrong pick
for the hosting job. They should choose someone thats younger and would excite the audience and tv viewers. A female host would be terriable for the show. My top pick for the new host is....... Richard Kern. My next pick would be...... John O' Hurley. A younger host would fit better with Rich Fields and the models.

84. todd newton is the best replacement for bob, he's been doing the show for years now and knows all the games as well as the personality of the show! he's the natural and should get the job..

85. No No No....George Hamilton is absolutely the worst!! I never liked orange men. Les...make a deal with GSN....you can get Chuck Woolery...he would be perfect...he's witty, good looking, paid his dues and would not be an embarrassment to your network like those other choices....John O is just untalented...unless you add a dancing showcase.

87. I have watched Bob Barker on the "Price Is Right" since I was 15 and in High School. I am now 50 and still watching. I always wondered what would happen if he retired. I could never think of anyone who 'could' replace him. I don't think that George Hamilton is the right person. He is nearly as old as Bob Barker, and has been around for ions.......They need some younger blood like Mario Lopez, or Todd Newton, or Doug Davidson, or even Mark Wahlberg who used to host some game show, I can't remember the name. Or even Dave Price. Someone who can take the show into the future. After all, how long will George Hamilton be able to do it? Not long term............We will miss you Bob Barker, you were a staple in my life and in the life of CBS daytime television. Thank you for being there for us for 35 years. The animals thank you too!

88. I certainly hope this is rumor about George Hamilton being a front runner for this job. I definately will not watch if he is chosen. What a shame. Who is in charge of making these decisions? Perhaps there should be a poll of the audience who will be watching.. that only seems fair. Mario Lopez at least is easy on the eyes. I don't even know what to say......upsetting!
