Stern Shut Down In Huge Way Over DNA

Howard K. SternHoward K. Stern lost a big one in the Bahamas today.

Stern's appeal on DNA testing was just shut down, and Howard K. was penalized by the three-judge panel to the tune of $10,000. TMZ has learned Stern was ordered to pay $5,000 in attorney's fees to the Registrar General and $5,000 to Birkhead's lawyer -- not Debra Opri, the Bahamian one.

This could clear the way for the unsealing of the DNA test results -- that should happen in court this week.

Typically, these penalties (called "sanctions") are imposed when an appeal is frivolous.

47. Stern is an idiot! I'm glad he lost the appeal and then they got money from him too ..$$$...that must have hurt the most! Let this baby find out who the father is...u robbed a father of his right to be there when his baby is born and hid in a foreign country! Lets not give anyone with any money ideas of how to kidnap a baby! Also this crap about Stern not having any motive of letting Anna die.....Lets see....she was gonna have to go in front of the inquest and shes not the most stable person....i think now Stern can always say Anna gave Daniel the drugs....but before who knows what Anna would have said underpressure...maybe Stern was worried......Just a thought

54. 26. hks attorney withdrew the appeal. lb filed a summon for a paternity test on march 14th.,and hks file a summon on march 19th. both men wanted the dna test on dannielynne and larry birkhead, the two just wanted different people to do the test. it was proved today the hks wants that dna result. he never wanted it any other way. he knows larry isn't the father. so people get your facts straight before u critize someone. hks loves his daughter. he loved anna and daniel . their deaths were tragic but because of their own doing.
