Sure, the storylines are scripted. As you pointed out, so are the storylines of movies and tv shows. That doesn't make them less enjoyable.

WWE stars are incredibly athletic. Anyone doubting that should watch a few clips of the Hardys, or, my personal favorite, John Cena.
