Lets Get This Party Started
Is Angelina Adopting Another Kid?

Angelina Adopts Pax: Launch galleryReports today are claiming that Angelina Jolie wants to adopt another girl from Africa for her burgeoning brood, right on the heels of her latest baby acquisition, Pax from Vietnam -- but TMZ has learned that it's definitely not true.

A source told a British tabloid that Angie wants to "balance" her family for the sake of her adopted daughter Zahara from Ethiopia. She's got two little Asian boys, the thinking goes, so she needs another African girl to keep Z company.

But TMZ spoke to Jolie's lawyer, Robert Offer, who told us that the rumor is definitely false. He says that he's been involved in all of Jolie's adoptions and that he hasn't spoken to her about adopting any children from Chad, or any other country for that matter.

196. Its nice Angelina can adopt children, If I had the money she does and the servents to help take care of them I would have more children. I also think maybe she should take a look at the kids in our own country that really need a home and love to.

197. I don't think it's anyone's business if Angelina wants to adopt again. She can afford it and I think she is doing great as a mom. Even when she is on location, she and Brad have the children with them most of the time, so she is actually spending more time with the children than someone who works 8-12 hours a day or those military moms, especially those who go on long deployments. At least she can see the children between takes. At least when she adopts, there is one less orphan in the world. I don't think Angelina is stupid, she knows what she is doing. It's her time and money, so let her be.

198. First of all people should not attack Angelina for her past behavior. Everyone has skeletons in their closet from thier wild years. Things that you smack your forehead lokking back on. Hers just happen to be broadcasted and archived for future reference. It is obvious that she is not that person anymore. She gives too much of herself. There are much easier vways to get good publicity. I don't think that is why she adopts.

The reason that celebrities shy away from adopting in the USA is because the biological parents have the right to change their minds and they could easily try to use the power of taking their child back to extort someone who is famous and wealthy. Also, I think that these countries hold a special place in Angelina's heart because she has been there and seen how they live firsthand. I don't think that most Americans can fathom just how bad it is in other parts of the world without seeing it for themselves. They are not just malnourished they are starving, they have no protection from illness in a disease ridden environment that stinks like urine and alcohol. They are sold and traded like currency with little or no protection from the government. Just from my limited traveling experience to the Caribbean and the West Indies, I can tell you that there is a big difference between our destitute conditions in the US and other countries' destitute conditions. Even if Brad and Angelina were to adopt 50 children, they would not even begin to make a dent in the population that needs help. Does it really matter where they adopt from? Maybe that is where they thought conditions are the worst. The bottom line is that there are now three less children starving in the world. Period. Perhaps, instead of complaining and crticizing their good works we could all try to do our part to make that number larger. Or maybe not, wouldn't want to take food out of our well-fed mouths, right?

199. I question angelina's committment to motherhood--it takes time/love and lots of energy to be a good caring mom--not someone who is a working celebrity who has little time to commit to what it takes for parenthood

200. I think it would be great if Angelina estalished a foundation to offer grants to people who want to adopt but can't for financial reasons; be it domestic or international. She doesn't need to adopt 10 more kids; that's just like another orphanage. But spread the wealth and the word, and help other people adopt!

201. Why can't Ms. Jolie look to her own locality to adopt. Does she not know that there are millions of children here in the United States that are orphaned too? Ok, so she wants to have the United Nations in her household, she can adopt a United Nations group of children right here in the good ole' USA. What is her purpose of going out of the country to adopt?

202. Angelina is so beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. I greatly admire the work she does on behalf of humanity. She has a beautiful heart . There's so many children who want and need families to call their own

203. How about adopting from this country? Angelina can't find a sister for her child from America? I am sure there are many children who need homes right here. As for Oprah and her school in another country - move there Oprah.

204. I like angelina as an actress. She has some sex appeal. She gives the impression of being a nice person. However, something is going on with her compulsive adoption practice. It almost seems as if she is collecting one of each ethnic group for whatever purpose. Is she trying to make amends for something? Who knows what her real motives are. She may not know herself. I believe Brad is on his way out.

205. Adopting children from orphanages does not make you a good person.

Posted at 7:52PM on Apr 3rd 2007 by Rose

206. Angelina is tlike the reincarnation of Mia farrow and we all know how that turned out! 12 children and no money to support them. You have to consider what is lacking in her own life that makes her desire these children, especially after just govong birth. Also the quality time gets smaller and smaller with each new addition. I am all for adoption, and I feel for the kids in foreign countries, however charity begins at home, and there are hundreds of thousands of children right here that could use a good home. Angie may wish to consider that!

207. Angie and Brad need to look in their own back yards for children who need help. What about all the children right here in the USA. I'm tired about hearing how all these countries are so poor and cannot help their own, especially when you see their government living the good life while their people are starving. Give me a break already.

208. who cares!

209. Angelina acquires kids like they are possessions. That's the problem I have with it. Kids need time and attention and how are they going to get that from her?

Posted at 7:57PM on Apr 3rd 2007 by Jeanne Anderson

210. It's looking like Angelina's becoming a collector. I'm wondering if she isn't suffering from postpartum bipolar depression? She seems to be trying to fill a need in her life by plugging it with a new kid. When that doesn't work -- and it won't -- she seeks out another. I know quite a few bipolars who do this, only they have one baby after another in short periods of time (a la Britney). Before she decides to pull another child from their homeland, she needs to get some serious mental health evaluations to find out why she feels the need to collect kids.

And if she needs to keep adopting, what the hell is wrong with helping some of the children right here in the U.S. that need a permanent home? It's admirable that she wants to adopt children who are less fortunate, but maybe she needs to take a trip to Appalachia and have a look around!!!
