O'Reilly Blasts O'Donnell, Paper Brands Her "Tokyo Rosie"

Now she's not just "nutty," she's the enemy ... of WW2?!

Rosie O'Donnell felt Bill O'Reilly's wrath again last night on "The O'Reilly Factor," with Bill calling her "radical" and "dangerous," and suggesting, as a financial newspaper did, that she's spewing anti-American propaganda.

In his "Talking Points" segment last night, O'Reilly picked up the Investor's Business Daily's editorial calling O'Donnell "Tokyo Rosie," a reference to "Tokyo Rose," the nickname American GIs gave to Japanese women who broadcast anti-American messages over the airwaves during World War II.

As of this morning, Rosie had posted no response on her usual soapbox at rosie.com.

46. Well, I did think this was still a free country. Since when is it anti-american to say what you think. She supports the troops but does not support the war, like a lot of other AMERICANS. This war is nothing but a propaganda war just like Vietnam. Bush isn't as stupid as people think. He is doing what is best for his bank account, OIL. What a disgrace he is to call himself an American. O'Reilly is an ass. He is such a republican who can't see past his nose it is almost a laughable. Like most republicans, he is right and if you don't agree with him you are wrong. Well, Rosie isn't like that and neither are a lot of people. I personally have no PARTY. I am for what is right and good for this country and ALL the people. Not just a select few who have megabucks. Amen

47. I love it how it is OK for Rosie to talk about some crazy conspiracy theories, but when anyone else has an opinion she jumps all over them.

Rosie, you were good in "A League of Their Own", alright in "The Flintstones", and the first year of your own talkshow was fine. But now, please go away.

49. Dear Sean: One of my own personal favorite heros from 9/11 was Rick Rescorla -- the Morgan Stanley security person who told the people in authority that he was going to get his people OUT of the towers after the first plane struck and while the "authorities" were still telling everyone to go back to their desks.

Another favorite group of heros on that day were the ones who tried to get control of the airplane back from the terrorists....undoubtedly challenging standard convention at that time which was to not rile the "hijacker"...

Some times people in authority positions are WRONG -- and it takes the brave to challenge them.

50. Tally: overwhelming support in dumping Rosie!
I used to like Rosie as a comedian. But, over the last few years I've seen her self-important, ILL-INFORMED political banter and the way she bullys and picks-on people and I get really annoyed. She is not funny anymore. And what she is doing does not help people. Barbara, get a clue. Finally. Dump her.

52. The 9/11 conspiracy stuff is disgusting, and I'm about the furthest supporter of the Bush administration as you can be.

Like the idiot who claimed a missile hit the Pentagon. Yeah, you dumbass, it WAS a missile...but the missile was a plane full of innocent people and fuel. My buddy WATCHED the plane go into the Pentagon. He has been in intense therapy ever since, and is only a shadow of the outgoing happy person he used to be.

Every Rosie or Chuck Sheen opens their mouth about this crap, I want to punch them in their friggin' mouths...

53. Rosie feels the need to insult everyone from the Chinese to Christians, all the while preaching tolerance for her lifestyle. She is the MOST INTOLERANT person I've ever seen on TV. What a loser!

54. ALL AMERICANS HATE ROSIE... she is moron and uneducated!

55. I'm so sick of Rosie. Sick of her big mouth. Sick of her views. Sick of seeing her face. Barbara Walters, how can you continue having this mess on your show? Yes, she gets publicity, but at what cost to you and your reputation. Rosie does not speak for me. Is there any way to just get her to SHUT UP??

Posted at 2:01PM on Apr 3rd 2007 by SO SICK OF ROSIE

56. Reading these comments makes me realize that what the world says about American is right. For the most part , they are uninformed and happy about it, sheep, blindly following along not asking any questions, spewing hate and pretending to be "Christians". REAL Christians spead love, tolerance, compassion, forgiveness is a cornerstone of Christianity. God does not hate anyone, God is Love.

BTW Rosie never said the gov was responsible... that just goes to prove what lemmings you are. You cant even do enough research to find out what she really said. Or maybe you just dont get it.

57. I do not think O'Riely called for her to be fired, he simply said ABC and Barbara W has a problem on their hands. He is right about her though. She has showed no respect for her own country or those who have died to protect her right to free speech among other things. Her therories are just wacky and off the wall. I wonder about her sanity. Barbara W. has lost any credibilty she has ever had with me and many others. ABC, well what can you say it is all about ratings, and their decision to not do something about Rosie just plays into their bias rergarding Pres. Bush, so are we suprised. But clearly someone should deal with Rosie. She is so full of hate it is scary, and she never has the facts behind her. She not only insults the viewer;s intelligience, she is rude to her own co hosts and guests if they try to vent thier own opinion. Joy just rides on her coattails and looks totally confused sometimes.

58. ROSIE O'DONNELL is "radical" and "dangerous?" Really. I'm not her biggest fan, but I think O'Reilly is seriously exaggerating and overstating and he takes himself a bit too seriously.

59. #41 - Lynn ... I sure hope you aren't even trying to compare those heroes to Rosie. There's a huge difference between them and you know it.

60. The last time I checked--this was still a free country where anyone can express an opinion. The people who are crying the loudest at Rosie's remarks might not think the same if the media was controlled as it is in Russia or China--there would be no TMZ or other Internet sites where "free" people have a voice. Think about it!
