Howard K. to Hire Pit Bull Lawyer to Nail Naysayers

Lin Wood and Howard K. SternTMZ has learned Howard K. Stern has had telephone conferences with Lin Wood -- the lawyer who represented Patsy and John Ramsey -- and will hire him to sue members of the media who have accused Stern of committing homicide and other offenses.

We're told a retainer agreement has not yet been signed, but Stern and Wood have agreed in principle that the uber-aggressive lawyer would file various lawsuits against certain members of the media.

TMZ contacted Ron Rale, Anna Nicole's lawyer, a named executor in her will and Stern's friend, who said, "I will confirm that retention of Lin Wood is an imminent possibility." Rale added, "Certain members of the media might want to think about mitigating damages."

In the Ramsey case, Wood filed numerous defamation claims against media outlets, including Time, Court TV, FOX News and others, for pointing a guilty finger at his clients.

93. The Ramsey's were guilty of covering up an horrific accident that took the life of their daughter and Patsy was the one who caused the accident.. Now The Ramsey's knew their guilt and I have to wonder if Howard does not know his also! I have never heard any media outlet say he was guilty of murder..They have just laid out the truth and they cannot help it if people come up with their own conclusions! Howard is making himself look guilty in everything he does..If he hires this hit man it is because he wants to try to make money he does not deserve and I doubt that anyone will be sued at least not successful..Scare tactics only.... Are you feeling guilty of something Howard????? Must be as you and your lawyers are the only ones saying you are with their prostesteth too much attitude! Just give up the kid ...

94. I think he has every right to sue and set the record straight. This is America and no one should be accused of wrong doing falsely. There are so many media outlets that want to make things worse for everybody. They don't want the good news. The tape that showed Anna getting her face painted only showed the part where she was acting for the camera and having fun with the little girl. Start the tape from the beginning and see how it plays out. Give Howard a break. He has been through a lot. Anna wanted him beside her and with her baby.

96. Wonder why he is getting another "Bull Dog" Ham lawyer? The blondie he had before was bad enough. Must be feeling worried after all, "Sticks and stones.....but apparently the media's words are hurting him. Wonder why Anna Nicole was taking so many drugs when the prescriptions were written in HIS name? That is against the law to be taking someone elses prescribed drugs, so why isn't he being prosecuted? If the drugs were in his name, how did she get them? Why did the doctor prescribe them in other peoples names when they were supposed to be for her? Something is fishy, so no wonder why he needs another "Ham" lawyer.

99. Freedom of Speech is not unlimited....for those who think they are "consitutionalists" that is an FYI. There is such a thing as DEFAMATION, LIBEL, etc which are not covered under the wonderful First Amendment rights.....calling HKS a murderer without proof and due process is defamation and "actionable" under the laws our sons fight and die for. Finally HKS seems to be waking up from the intense grieving...Is there ANYONE IN THIS GUY'S corner other than his family?? No one to stand up for his rights?? Well I hope this champion of the undergdog lawyer he is hiring will help him fight the fight.

101. Well, it figures. Still can't fight his own battles and still no job. Now he will grab whatever Lin Wood can get out ot the media. Wish someone would slap a homicide suit on Stern and end this. Then Wood can defend his ass. And hopefully that baby will be away from this phycho soon. What a total jerk. Good luck everyone going after Stern. You all deserve a big win.
