Sanjaya TMZ has spoken with intensely connected sources in the recording industry about the Sanjaya craze, and it's turned the music biz on its ear.

We're told execs at Sony BMG (its 19 Recordings/RCA division records the winner of "Idol") are "really nervous." They now think Sanjaya could win the competition and worry that he's like the new Pet Rock -- the novelty will wear off and his records won't sell.

On the other side of things, we're told a number of songwriters in H-Wood are already quietly writing songs for one person and one person only in the competition -- yes, Sanjaya. As you read this story, musical notes are going up on pages all over the city -- notes Sanjaya probably can't hit.

301. I think Sanjaya is a unique person but he shouldn't have gone as far as
he has on American Idol. It is the kids and teens that are keeping him in
the running. The most talented singers are getting the boot while he remains. It
is not fair to the others,however, the judges are the ones that got him in the top
24 so who knows what is going to happen.

302. Jim of comment 283 did you watch the show this week? When Simon said "lets try a new tactic that was incredible" we all know Simon was being sarcastic. From listening to and watching Sanjaya after the comment was made he actually believed that Simon thought he was incredible. The poor boy is starting to believe the hype.

303. some producer will pick up on sanjaya, clean him up in the recording studio and make gazillions of dollars with him. he will be the next shaun cassidy / donny osmond, etc.

I love the show American Idol Ive been watching for the past three years and have attended every show at Nassau Colliseum.The show doesnt seem to be the same ,so far this season on the night someones goes it seems to be the wrong people that are leaving.Sanjaya is a cute kid but really he doesnt have the talent the rest of them do,he comes out every week likes hes auditioning for a school talent show!GET OFF ALREADY! Enough is enough!

305. I HAVE LOOKING AT THE SHOW FOR A LONG TIME AND ITS NOT RIGHT THAT SANJAYA IS STILL ON THE SHOW. IT MAKE ME SICK TO EVEN THINK THAT HE HAS COME THIS FAR AND ONES THAT HAVE MORE TALENT THEN HIM HAVE BEEN SENT HOME . 306. well we cant just let judge pick all the ways through they are bias also, they are goin for popularity, and looks they just need to pick the right 24 from the beginning, the judges now have to suck this up, or do they like like it, all politics if u ask me, keep those calls comming in phone company making big bucks, as for howard stern he should worry about getting some micro imbrasion for those craters in his face, if you ask me star search was alot better,

308. Why are we bitching, Pick up your phone. I had no trouble voting for the 7 I wanted to stay. I voted for them a lot of times.[At least 100 ] The 2 I hoped would be in the bottom 2, I didn't vote for at all.Only one of them were in the bottom 2...We have to vote for all the ones we want to stay & vote for them lots of times.. Don't cast a single vote for the two you hope to leave or the one you want to go home. When it gets down to only 2 I vote for the one I want to win.. I don't know much about singers but I SURE KNOW THE ONES THAT CAN'T SING !!! BLESS HIS YOUNG HEART,GO HOME SON & COME BACK IN A FEW YEARS WHEN YOU LEARN HOW TO SING BETTER !!!!!!

309. I tend to agree with most everyone else. This kid may have some talent, but he is now where near the quality of Melinda Doolitle. This needs to stop now. Doesn't anyone see how unfair this whole thing is? There is no way that this kid out sang the last two singers. And to keep putting him back is actually doing more harm than good. Let's not feed his ego any more. What kind of message are you sending him? It's just not fair!

310. Simon will quit the show if Sanjaya wins? He should remember that he helped put him in the top 24. If we truly believe in the concept of these reality shows, anyone of the 24 should have the chance to be the next american idol. Personally, I don't think that Melinda or Lakeisha should even be on the show. How much better are they going to get? Even Simon can't find anything bad to say about Melinda. Give them both a contract already and let the real competition begin! And since when has being an American Idol in America been synonymous with talent? Who sells teen magazine? It is not the talented singers and actors out there. I just wish that organized groups would stay out of the voting and let America choose their own idol, whomever it turns out to be. That's what makes it interesting. Simon needs to stop being a baby just because he can't seem to influence the voting this season as he has every other season. Without Sanjaya, this season is BLAH, the contestants are too professional already or just okay. Sanjaya, Jordin, and Blake are the only ones that stand out and have the potential to be groomed into the next American Idol.

312. This is so unimportant! Does it matter who wins AI? It's not a
good talent show, and it's not a good reality show. In the end does
whomever wins affect your life personally in any way other than your
out a few buck if you buy the CD?

314. This is really sad. I have not heard one good performance from this guy. Not one! He is getting on my nerves. I think he should do the honorable thing and step down. Better singer are getting kicked off instead of him and it is wrong. OH somebody need to tell him cut those thick ass eye brows, he looks like a damn clown.
