316. Sanjaya should do the right thing and QUIT. He has to know how awful he is--and he obviously can read, right? No one with any morsel of judgement wants this guy to continue--he should do his "friends" on the show a favor and yank himself.

317. What amazes me are the continual comments about hating AI and wanting it "off the air" as soon as possible. Why do you care---especially if other people enjoy it. More importantly, why are you wasting your time on a site that just has comments about AI? Get a life.
The world will not implode if Sanjaya wins. He's just become a trivia question in Trivial Pursuit the 200's edition. Jordin, Lakeisha, and Blake will have long and successful music careers. And Melinda will do the best of all---especially if she becomes a casualty of Howard Stern's "big joke" and America decides to make it up to her by buying her albums. Put me in for any Melinda "pre-sale" CD's

318. Unlike the Oscars--as well as other professional vote-casting situations--it seems there are no limits on how many times an individual can vote for a
given participant on AI. In addition, there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY for the
results--also unlike the supposedly sacrosanct procedures insuring fairness
in the Oscar ballot-counting--so the public is never told WHO tabulated the
number of calls, WHAT were the totals, and (perhaps significantly more if not most importantly) WHERE DID ALL THE CALLS ORIGINATE. In the event that the cute but patently under-talented Sanjaya should win, the folks
responsible for the way the voting mechanism was set up may very well be
looking for other means of employment --just as soon as it happens. And the pink slips will prove to be lots harsher than Simon's critiques!

320. Sanjaya has a nice voice, yes, this is true, I have to give him credit by all means. However, the winner of AI should be "the best of the best" and that is not Sanjaya. Those singers are in another league such as Melinda, Lakisha, Jordan, Blake & Chris, (and in order of my preference). No one is saying that the others are not good singers, but, these 5, in my opinion, are up there in the "it" factor. Voting for an underdog is really silly. If you like Sanjaya's singing, buy his CD that he will now be obligated to make since being in the top 12 and being on the tour. Someone made the comment of it not being a big deal because it is just a reality TV show. True, AI is a reality TV show, but, so is the Miss America Contest and you don't see a buck-toothed, long haired dizzy blonde with cellulite walking the runway to represent USA. The person who should win AI will be someone representing America in his/her tours around the world. A true AI is Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood who have really made themselves a name in the biz in a short period of time because they have that "it" factor.

To Sanjaya..."Sweetheart, you are a very talented 17 year old young man. You have a beautiful voice, but, please, you have to realize deep down inside that your other competitors are much, much better than you. For the sake of the others in the competition and the sake of face, please, take your leave and not allow this to go on any longer. The votes you are getting are not real and you know it, or you should. You'll do well, honey, but, take your leave. You are only the target of a sabotage and laugh at this point. Keep your head up and step down.

322. I think this is the most outrageous thing that could happen.. Remember, this is a singing talent contest. Who in their right mind would vote for Sanjaya just on his voice alone. If he should win I don't think he will get a contract, he is the worst I have heard in a long time. I stopped watching Idol because of him and the way these teeny boppers are voting for someone who just wiggles around and sticks out his tongue. He is bad news for the idol viewers and is probably losing costing the show bigtime.

325. Wake UP,,, Sanjaya is the Best thing out there for the 9-13 yr old girl set. Unfortunately there is Nothing better out there for that demographic. Little girls love him. Don t know why cant understand it, but they do. The guy is a Hit with that group. So let him have his fame,,, for the next few years,,, till he gets too old,,, he has it made,,, he is a superstar for the pre teen set so let it go Wake UP and give it a break

327. Sanjaya would be very entertaining. unlike alot of the boring people on the show.
even though there are some great singers, they all blend together after awhile and
Sanjaya stands out and is fun!
He would be great in concert!
