Britney Slashes Price on Malibu Mansion

Sources tell TMZ that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are so desperate to finish their financial ties, that they've slashed more than one million dollars off the asking price of their Malibu mansion.

The 9,200-square foot Serra Retreat abode -- complete with seven bedrooms, a dance/workout room and a recording studio -- originally hit the market with a bouncy $13.5 million price tag, but last week the asking price suddenly dropped to a mere $11.999 mil. The listing appears on the Coldwell Banker website, but without mention of Spears.

Reports say that Brit and the Fed-Ex will split the proceeds -- but even at the reduced price, there have been no offers. Perhaps their realtor should talk to Conan O'Brien.

16. You know with all her money i just sell it all for what ever is owed and live off the interest of what and go simple and enjoy my kids. To bad some people don't do that just dump it and go hide and enjoy the kids after awhile of hiding or just being normal people just don't follow you or care who you are.

21. For that price, you also get to see Mel Gibson passed out on his lawn in his underwear since he is a neighbor. The house is okay but still greatly over priced for the neighborhood, as it lacks real seclusion (there are adjacent houses on every side of it except the back hillside) and has an obscured view of the Pacific at best. For that price you can go up the PCH a bit towards the Ventura County line and find a better deal. The houses in that area are truly spectacular since they sit out more on their own with more privacy and great ocean views. On their other hand, Spears house is closer to Starbucks and Ralph's.....hey ya gotta be able to buy your beer close to home. Maybe that's why Mel lives there.

25. What does she have to hide that she would pay almost $20 million and give up custody 4 days a week. The only thing I see she got was an agreement no tell all book could be written. So much for the ironclad prenup. Guess if it had had a clause forbidding tell all books, she wouldn't have had to pay up. In my opinion, her lawyer just lost her elite status.

27. #8. Kevin is getting $13 million plus he gets the kids for 4 days a week and he is also getting $25,000.00 for child support until the kids reach 18 yrs old. And to top it he will get half of the proceeds from the house. She put the house up for sell for $13.5 million but I just read where she lower the price to $11,999,999.
