16. I am all for having the American Dream, but the size of these homes is absolutley a waste of land. The rich, have hogged up most of California, with these massive homes.

Your ass can only be in one room at a time. Most of these people only have a couple of kids too. They couldnt possibly use all the rooms in these homes.

Not only are the homes massive, but look at the amount of yard they have.

I guess the movie-stars have to "one-up" each other too.

17. Are society is messed up. We pay people who have the most meaningless jobs in America this kind of money.

Didnt God put the Earth here for all to enjoy. The land is for everyone to have equal share. The wealthy have taken what God gave all of us. They make sure to keep it this way too.

No wonder America is going down the toilet. Are values are so warped.

20. Winfreys home is big enough to turn it into a 4 year College. Why go to Africa to build schools when you already have something big enough here to do the trick.

One day in the future these kinds of people and their lifestyles will be viewed as the Rich in Russian and Cuba once were---and looked what happened there.

Reign it in a little you rich over indulging not really caring hypocrites. I'm not impressed by any amount of money Winfrey or Travolta has given or contributed. On a percentage of their total net worth the amounts are actuall embarrassing.

If we give 10% ourselves to Church and other Organizations, than Winfrey should be giving at a minimum 400 million dollars a year....she aint, and is getting all this glory for giving so much. She's no more of a giver than the average middle class working person.

My goodness look at the lavish lifestyle she has to maintain, thats where the bulk of her money is going. She better do a Gates with that money when she passes on or we will all have been taken for a long slow ride by this self absorbed phoney.

And dont even get me started about Tony Menara Babarino Grease man.

21. I'd be happy with a simple two-story house and a simple cute backyard and that it be close to the ocean if its affordable, otherwise a nice house in suburbia is not all that bad. I feel happy being with my guy in his studio apartment that has no kitchen and we have fun! no need for that huge space....those stars must feel lonely in that house deep inside.

24. I would love to be rich - how EASY to say raise taxes if you are so RICH you don't have to worry. I don't mean a million in retirement, but 50 mill. Hey- you can't complain about them having it. They have little education and have lucked out. Stupid AND rich. It is amazing, but it's the way it is. They aren't environmentalists- just alarmists whose lack of education or ability to have critical thought makes them gullible and useful to those who prey on the stupid and gullible- such as Scientology. They aren't smart enough to see their own hypocrisy, and no one is going to tell them and risk getting fired.

25. Yum Yum is right. No one is going to tell them of their own hypocrisy, nor be able to tell them anything for that matter. Winfrey is a classic at that. She is surronded not by professionals but an army of patronage ass kissing yes people. No one dares go against the Big O on any matter. Thus the reasons she pulls some absolute blunders that any other professional would not even be near. Trip to Paris and her claiming she was being treated in a Racist manner when the shop owner was simply honoring an already scheduled showing.

Or that author of "A million little pieces". Even the Smoking Gun had already nailed him as a liar, yet because Oprah loved the book no one could dare even mumble this is a bad deal all the way around.

Travolta is just as bad. Thus his forary into that Science Fiction Cult. His own mother would disown him if she were alive and knew he did this and he knows it.

Ditto Tom Cruise. Hes one lost soul who has a complex about women and truly does believe space ships will arrive and carry his cult members to the same place that Comet cult that committed suicide wanted to go to. And no one can tell him differently.

26. Those homes are garish and a shameful display of wealth..totally tasteless. Can you tell me why people like Candy Spelling, Oprah, JLo and all the others without lots of children residing at home need homes with 14 bedrooms and bathrooms? It's a matter of each trying to outdo the other. The millions they spend on these showplaces should be spent in finding cures for diseases, creating jobs for the homeless and making a difference in this world rather than just their selfish whims. These people are shallow and self-indulgent and the public are fools for spending their hard earned money to fatten the wallets of these celebrities.
