35. The homes don't look "homey" and cozy enough for me to be comfortable in. And there's too much concrete around them. I guess my favorite is Hugh Hefner's because it actually looks like a nice home and not a five-star hotel with plenty of guest parking. Hate the Malibu ones. All you'd have to do is stick your head out the window and you'd be in your neighbor's house.

36. I agree w/ Ujay 110%. Ppl like simpicity, Shirl Smith, and "witchywoman" do nothing but, whine & complain about how greedy &self-centered the ultra-rich are and go on & on about what these ppl need to be doing w/ THEIR MONEY instead of wanting to learn from them on how to be as rich & successful as they are. And, that's only b/c simpicity, Shirl SMith, and "Witchywoman" all many others figure that they will never be able to live like these celebrities so, they're better off hating on them. The real truth is that if we were ALL that rich, we'd be living exactly like these celebrities, period. Nobody on these board would be living any less if we had the money that these stars do.

37. I agree, most of us would probably be living much, much better than we are now if we had the money they do. I know I would, and I really wouldn't feel bad about it. But I do think that if these celebs have enough money to either buy or build such elaborate 'pads', they could build or buy the same size building(s) in any given city and donate them to the cities to open shelters to our thousands of homeless in this country - for literally a fraction of the cost. A couple hundred cots and a few hundred blankets and pillows could go a long way for much, much less than these homes are costing. It's a shame really - it would be very simple to do in dozens of cities in the US.

39. these so called "stars" sure make their money in the united states. but they sure don't like their country. always saying bad things about it. I wish they would all move to iran or one of those countries and see how far saying things about the president in one of those countries would get them. they think every one wants there opinion. I would not go and see any of their awful movies. if everyone would quit going to movies they would not make all that money, then maybe they would live like the rest of us. so quit supporting all of them.

40. WOW some of you are EXTREMELY idealistic. I agree with those who say that if we were all rich like that that we would be living similar lifestyles as these people so we really need to channel that hate somewhere else (instead of hating a celebrity how about the lying cheating politicians who have taken are country to war & close to financial ruin?) As for the cribs I like Haleys (I LIKE living close to my neighbors so I can actually KNOW who they are), Oprahs & Eddies. John's with his plane right there is pretty awesome too. Also I am sure if you do some actual RESEARCH instead of just spewing hatred & rhetoric you will find that many of celebrity homes are EXTREMELY energy efficient. Many of them run on sources such as solar power, hyrdoelectric power, or wind power. With the proper HVAC & temperature regulation systems a house that size can be much more energy efficient than your average 2 story walk-up out in Suburbia where they CUT ALL THE BLOODY TREES DOWN!!! It's AMAZING how much the green-eyed monster rears is ugly head on these blogs. SHEESH!!!

41. All of those celebrities' homes and mansions are beautiful! Oprah Winfrey's mansion is GORGEOUS! Eddie Murphy's is fabulous! Even more recent stars like Ryan Seacrest and Avril Lavigne have lovely homes. Ashlee Simpson's home is a huge step up for her. Brad Pitt, Billy Joel, Halle Berry, JerrySeinfeld and Hugh Hefner have beautiful homes too. They picked homes that matched well with their lifestyle, hobbies and personal tastes. However, there were two that I didn't like at all--Howard Stern and John Travolta. Stern's Long Island home looks like it's going to be washed out into the ocean. And John Travolta's home looks a little too tiny to house those jets. The jets are so all out into the open--what if someone steals one of them? He should protect his property a little bit more. The mini airport runways to park the jets are okay, but that's about it.

43. I opened the link of the homes photos thinking it might be amusing and, as each photo came up, I grew more and more physically ill. I mentor twin 15-year-old boys who have to live with their older brother because their dad is a crack addict and their mom died in childbirth, leaving 5 children. They live in a tiny 3 bedroom house in a not-very-nice part of town. When I multiply their situation a million times over, when I think of the people in this country that have nothing, nothing but sorrow and struggle through no fault of their own, it actually made me want to cry to see the excesses that our "stars" exhibit. What is wrong with us?????
