Opri: The Lobster Plot Thickens

A steaming Debra Opri took to the airwaves today to defend the $620,492.84 bill she gave to her former client, Larry Birkhead, which TMZ first published.

The crustacean combatant would not get into specifics when talking with CourtTV's Jami Floyd, but did address the issue of the $600 she billed Birkhead for lobsters. Opri maintains that the bill TMZ published was "not complete," and that Larry would "happily" pay the bill. We'll see about that.

Opri also said that she feels like a proud parent today because "Larry is going to take that child home." We'll find out soon enough!

32. I love her again, her emontions about Larry taking his baby home was REAL & RAW, i saw the whole interview on jamie Floyd. Like i always said the ONLY TRUTHFULL people in this whole mess was Ms. Orpi & my man Larry..I'm a nanny & i have seen what joint custody does to a child. The children sometimes want to stay at my house & recent both parents..SO VIRGIE BACK OFF..YOU CAN'T RUN IN A PARK W/ DANNIELYNN ETC..

34. TMZ - I saw that entire inverview and Deb Opri was not "STEAMING". She was laughing and very eloquent and very supportive of Larry.

I haven't liked her after the bill was leaked, but I thought her interview today was very good.

You were my hero for a short time while you were representing Mr. Birkhead with his battle to gain custody of baby Dannielynn. But now with this case still open and the bill you have given Mr. Birkhead while he's still battling for his child, I think you have reached an all time low! You have definitely taken advantage of this gentleman, and for now I see you in the same class as Howard K Stern. Only a money monger with ill conceived intentions. Your so-called publicist needs to tell you to keep a low profile because at this time no matter what you say the public does NOT like you. Maybe you should contact Candy Spelling for some hints on how to behave. So please stay off the airwaves...silence is golden!

42. For Opri to coach Larry was probably like coaching for "dancing with the stars" for Wendell Sailor. What she accomplished to do for Larry is beyond his abilities. The bill should have been negotiated before she took the case and it should not come as a surprise for Larry. If he signed a retainer he should and would pay for the services. Legal services in general became unaffordable for "lay people" and Larry should not have hoped to "find" money or get free service and should have caclulated his own resources prior to hiring such an expensive legal help.

43. Lets hope Larry cares for Dannielynn the way Howard and his family have done these past few months. (if the dad is larry)

45. SHE....SHE feels like a proud parent? Sounds a bit on the insane side to me. Have any of you ever noticed that during the initial court hearings in FL....she was always hanging on to Larry? Always touching him on the back or arm.....wondering if she had a "thing" for him??
