Pete Wentz & Ashlee SimpsonPete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are friends with benefits -- and TMZ has the shots to prove it!

The two have yet to admit that they're dating, with Pete denying it numerous times, saying it'd only happen in a "different universe." Apparently, worlds have collided!

Despite the efforts of several large security guards, Ash and the Fall Out Boy bassist were snapped while liplocked in a Vegas VIP booth last night, bringing the different universe to Earth's front door, which is surprisingly located at JET Nightclub in the Mirage hotel. Someone notify JPL!

Sources say the smooching twosome were cuddling, kissing and flirting before leaving together around 3:30 AM. Teleporting to the alternate universe was unnecessary.

Calls to Ashlee and Pete's reps were not immediately returned.

17. Fall Out Boy is okay, but Pete will be the downfall of that band. They should replace him. He plays the depressed rocker angle in interviews, but then he's out with Ashlee Simpson. How depressed can you be if you're hanging out with a pop tart singer wannabe like Ashlee Simpson. He's a really big fake.

21. #13 I know exactly how you feel. After listening to John Mayer's latest CD called Continuum, I was a huge fan. I would listen to his CD all the time while driving to and from work, and picture him playing. I'm into tall men. Now that he is doing Jessica, I am totally turned off.

25. Reply to "sugar": 'BEARD!' LOL. Two weeks ago my hairdresser, who is gay, said Pete was gay. I said, "No, he's seeing Ashlee S. there are pics all over." He said, "Honey, Ashlee is a big 'ol beard. It's obvious." I just laughed.
I think they look great together. 2 beautiful people. It's nice to see Pete happy.
