I can understand turning your back on your druggie daughter in an attempt to not enable her bad habits but..... upon Anna's death I felt very sorry for Anna and I felt very sad for her sad, depressing, and lonely life. But I cannot see a mother sharpening her claws and pulling out a team of lawyers in an attempt to cash in on your granddaughter.

If Vergie was all love for the granddaughter then why didn't she make any moves to be a grandmother at the birth or while Anna was alive, like Tori and Candy Spelling.

64. We all can't be held for our childrens actions, but this is a mother that was a "supposed well respected member of law enforcement". Has anyone been following these timelines, I guess Howard didn't make her son do this did he??? Wasn't it around the same time Anna quit talking to her mother? When that woman dumped the dirt on Anna's grave and stomped on it as she walked away, she's evil. She's in it for one reason. MONEY!!! Did you notice how she said Howard Marshall was a good man, because she reaked off the benefits when Anna had the money and lived in one of Anna's houses. But when the buck stopped, so did mommy. And now the bucks back and so is mommy. Howard & Larry pay Anna justice and send mommy back to Texas.

Why must you attack Virgie? Where is the dirt on Howie? Too scared to print it? Why did he suddenly appear in 1996 with no past? No prior girlfriends, boyfriends for that matter?

I'd rather see Virgie with Dannielynn any day of the week than with the people Dannielynn is with now!

66. Virgie is the most dispicable person. I believed her daughter Anna was assaulted by one of Virgies's many boyfriends while Virgie did nothing to stop it. She is a phoney people and does not grieve Anna 's death at all. The way she walked on Anna's grave and shoveled the dirt on her was horrifying. Anna was correct when she said she hated her mom. I dsilke her a hundred times more that Howard. I pray she will go away, or believe Anna will never rest in peace. She is true redneck trailer trash all the way. Where is the money commg from the finance these high powered attorneys? She didn't have a dime a year ago!

70. ANS half sister (same father) Donna Hogan gave an interesting interview on the Early Show today. The transcript can be found at this link (below) - which also includes a free downloadable excerpt from her book - also interesting reading. Gives some insight into Virgie's parenting style and motivations.

As always, there are many sides to every story....but I see no reason not to consider Donna's version as at least close to the truth, even if she does hope to make money off the book. Her views basically match my own impression of Virgie, Anna & the general situation, FWIW.....

1. Howard was with Anna when she died, not Virgie.
2. Howard gave Anna drugs, not Virgie.
3. Virgie worked for a living, Howard did not.
4. Virgie wanted Anna off drugs, Howard had a duffle bag full of drugs.
5. Virgie did not film Anna on drugs and pregnant, Howard did.
6. Virgie was not in the room when Daniel died, Howard was.
7. Anna did not say "you did this" to Virgie, she said it to Howard.
8. Howard negotiated a million dollar deal with ET on the day of Anna's death, Virgie did not.
9. The drugs that killed Anna were not in Virgie's name, they were in Howard's.
10. Virgie bought her own shoes, Howard did not.
11. Virgie pays her taxes, Howard does not.

I like Virgie a lot better than I like Howard. Tell me one good thing about Howard. If he truly loved Dannielynn, he would have kept her mother alive instead of going to buy a boat with her money (Anna's) while she lay in her death bed.
