"Idol" Kids Say J.Lo Is Bitchin', Not Bitchy!

Diana Ross, Gwen Stefani, Tony Bennett and Lulu (who?) can't hold a, er, note next to Jennifer Lopez -- at least in the eyes of the "American Idol" wannabes. TMZ has learned that the Idols' favorite mentor so far, has been J.Lo. Claro que si!

Sources with the production tell TMZ that the contestants were initially scared to meet La Lopez, based on reports of her alleged diva attitude, but after Jennifer spent time rehearsing their latin-themed numbers with them, the budding singers had nothing but praise for the singer/actress/dancer/producer/designer/jeweler/restaurateur/perfumer/three-time bride. Wepa!

We're told the "Idol" hopefuls thought Jen was "very personable," and that she gave great advice on handling the entertainment biz. Our source says Jenny from the Block kept it "real," and even sat on the floor with the contestants. Can you believe it, yo?

Who needs Grammys, when you got J.Lo style!

46. TMZ - what do you mean: "Lulu (who?)" ....if you watched the "British Invasion Week" on AI - you'd know WHO Lulu was & is!...one of the greatest female pop singers to come out of the 60's (had a #1 hit in America; and sang the Bond theme "Man With The Golden Gun").

47. seriously this girl can't sing. She had back up vocals and when they went away, you could hear how weak her voice really is. I think the only reason she's "keeping it real" is because she needs to so she can sell her music. She is a diva. Her personality is annoying and the way she dresses, i.e. furs, who the hell wears fur? it's so tacky and so snobby old woman style. Yuk! I used to be a fan in the beginning, but no more. Her diva attitude and the fur thing really turns me off. She needs to do an about face and then maybe, people will start liking her again. She's no Selena that's for sure!

50. I actually can't understsand why JLO gets bashed everywhere. I'm amazed at how many comments that say she can't sing or act. I'd figure there are about 100 tone deaf people here, OR it's some smear campaign. Seriously, I really don't get why that happens since I don't follow the stories much. She can obviously sing. Is it jealousy? hmmm.

51. JLo cannot sing .. You has good back up singers. If it wasn't for P. Diddy, she would still be on the 6 bus to Manhattan.. Yes, she could dance and has a killer body. In all fairness to her, I have to give credit where it is due.. BUT, a few dance lessons and a few extra work outs.. anyone could have done what she did. Her first movie was Salena.. she sort of tried to copy her in someway.. JLo couldn't hold a candle to Salena and she knows it. Who will be her next victim.. I mean husband.. she looks bored with Marc Anthony already.. The body language between the both of them seems tense lately when I see them on TV.. hmmmm.. another breakup?

52. I could not wait to hear her spanish album. What an amazing CD. Her singing in spanish is very different & addicting. Very nice J.Lo. All those people that don't know "s--t" about spanish, mind your business where it belongs. Stop the jealousy you ladies. Be positive,. live & let live. Remember to look at your own backyard first.
Congratulations to J.lo., and her new CD. Loved all the songs. Keep your head up HIGH.

53. tony bennit is in a class by himself . he is an icon and the last of the great ones . that said jlo is the best of the younger set of entertainers . she and a few others are the future of hollywood and its link to the past .
