50. Dawg, check it out. The dude is a great entertainer! He loves his audience and engages with them. He is the people's performer! He is more successful, daring and sweeter than most of you people. He is already guarentee $250,000 for a summer tour - how many of our teens will be making that at their summer jobs? The kid is doing something positive instead of doping up or stealing cars. He doesn't deserve the criticism. I vote for him, and it is because I LOVE HIM, not because he is a joke. There are so many more singers on IDOL that have a worse voice than he does--where is all the hate articles about Haley- what's her name? Can't remember what she sang, but can remember her legs. Or Phil the guy with many hats who can't sing! Or what about Justin Timberlake, lookalike. Lets see, you got LaKeesha who is a Jennifer Hudson wannabe. Actually Blake and Sanjaya are the only two originals on the show--and who is more rememberable? Everyone knows Sanjaya, and can recognize him even with his different hairstyles. I would not be surprise if Sanjaya gets a tv show offer.

53. Joan, as a mother I could not disagree with you more. Any parent should be proud to have a son like Sanjaya. I work with teens, and I have to tell you that there are so many troubled kids who are failing school, anti-social criminal types with raps sheets several pages long, using and selling drugs. This young man had a dream, and he is doing what it takes to make it work! He overcame the odds to even be on the show--what was there like 100,000 people who tried out? And he's in the top 7. He is being mentored by some of the biggest names in the industry - who by the way are complimenting his skills! Sanjaya will be successful - and all you have to do is look at last season's finalists to know that you do not have to be the "IDOL" to win. Chris Daughtry is selling more records (even as #4) than Taylor Hicks. Sanjaya has already established himself, and will make many professional contacts as a result of his being on the show. I predict next year that everyone will still remember him, but will quickly forget several others from the final 10. As a mother I would also be proud to have a son who is so sweet, and can take this unprecendented hatred spew onto him (racist remarks, comments about his gender and sexual preferences, ridiculous comments about his reaching puberty), Sanjaya demonstrates that he is more man than the people (in many cases the professionals) who write about him.

54. If he wins AI by some miracle, it's only because morons in America really don't have a clue about talent and losers like Stern use him to bring down a show. There is no way
he will get a recording contract. The record companies will not sign him, he can't sing. One night as a mediocre singer isn't enough to sell cd's. I kinda feel sorry for him. He is so naive as to what is going on. If anything, he may have a stupid commercial for some lame product that no one will buy. Just like William Hung, 15 minutes of fame for being a joke and then forgotten. I hope he goes to get therapy after this. He's going to need it.

57. What is lame is all this "I vote for anyone but Sanjaya". That is just pure hate man. Why isn't there anyone that people are saying is like WOW I can't believe how wonderful so and so is. You only go around hating Sanjaya. Where are the fans of the other performers? Sanjaya is in the top 7 because he deserves to be.

58. I love Sanjaya. I hope he wins. I think Ryan Seacrest is a jerk to keep torturing Sanjaya and always putting him against others to create the hatred. Why is it always Sanjaya against Sundance, or Sanjaya against Brandon etc? The show is intentionally setting Sanjaya up for the hate - and it is just plain wrong. Why not have Phil Stacey stand up next to Sundance and see if the audience was shocked that Phil or Haley beat out Sundance or Chris Sligh? Seriously, why aren't people complaining about how suffering it was/is for Phil and Haley to beat the others? I think the judges underestimate the power of Sanjaya and they should be mature enough to admit that they were wrong, and stop treating him like he is their pimple. Sanjaya really is talented.
