Sanjaya Raises the Roof

31. He will actually be a big hit in India and Europe, but not the USA.
And he will not win American Idol. If American votes correctly. Too many other
Idol's that sing better than he does. Be sad to see him win and all the other talent
get's single out because of this crazy game.

American Idol needs to limit the callers to 5 votes per phone number as Dancing with the Stars does.

34. I agree with Rick. I read an article (believe on Fox) where a girl admitted to 540 votes for Sanjaya. I like the 5 calls per phone number idea.

I mean...this isn't the Presidential election, but let's be real about letting the best talent win.

39. Sanjaya fans are so disillusioned. He consistently picks songs that he can "talk" through. This is not singing. He is not a singer!!!! He has absolutely no range. Wake up people. This is a singing competition.

If he wins it will be because of these idiots with nothing better to do than vote hundreds of times for him (the few of them). It won't be because he is the most talented.

Although this year is definitely not the most exciting, there are certainly better singers than Sanjaya.

Blame it on the people who put him through to Hollywood - the judges!

41. I finally watched American Idol the week Tony Bennet was on it. When Sanjaya came on I thought he was delightful. I loved his energy. Even if he doesn't win American Idol, he should be able to be booked in clubs throughout the world. As should all of these singers be. They are all good. Sometimes the main prize may not be the best thing for you.

Not everyone likes a singer or that singer's style. For instance, some people love my voice and other people tell me not to quit my day job and look at me as if I have no potential. What matters is that I believe in myself.

I love Barbra Streisand and was so surprised when I talked with someone else and they did not share my opinion. Barbra Streisand is a treasure. Both great and small have those who support them and those who do not.
