Imus: "There Is No Malice in My Heart"

With his suspension not taking effect until next Monday, Don Imus took to the air today for WFAN's 18th Annual Radiothon to try and raise money for a good cause -- and to apologize. Again.

"I am horribly sorry I said it," he bleated this morning. "I know how it hurt these kids and they're going to tell me. But everyone knows what I've been doing for 30 years. It was a joke." Oh yeah, he's a riot.

MSNBC announced yesterday that it was dropping its simulcast of the "Imus in the Morning" radio show, after his disparaging remarks about the Rutgers women's basketball team. CBS Radio has suspended Imus for two weeks, effective April 16.

182. Just two weeks ago I said to my husband "why MSNBC waste its morning time slot on Imus". I didnt care for his morning show. I think this has gotten out of hand. Should he have been fired? NO! Do I think he was wrong for saying what he did? YES!
Heres the BUT! I really do get tired of the hearing HO, HO,HO and everything else in rap music. If the one side expects the rest of America to not use it towards other Americans-then they shouldnt either. They are the ones continuing the cycle of racist remarks. If I allowed my husband to call me a HO-sooner or later my children would join in and think that was okay. If you want people to respect you, then you must first respect yourselves and your race!
