Joe Francis' Prison Water-gate

"Girls Gone Wild" bad boy Joe Francis has allegedly been found with pills in his Florida jail cell -- and the reason he got caught is because he allegedly tried to bribe a guard for a bottle of water with a $100 bill on Wednesday night.

And get this ...TMZ has also learned that the President of Mantra Films, Scott Barbour, the company that produces "Girls Gone Wild," has also been arrested by the Bay County Sheriff on suspicion of slipping the pills and the cash to Francis. Authorities say Barbour made the handoff when he visited Francis Wednesday night at the jail. Now Barbour is an inmate at the same jail as Francis.

Scott Barbour booking photo We've confirmed the story The County Press broke, that authoritites searched Francis and found at least three different types of pills -- anti-anxiety meds Aprazolam and Lorazepam, as well as the sleeping med Lunesta.

Francis could be charged with the crime of introducing contraband into a correctional facility, a felony, and possession of a controlled substance.

Calls to reps for Mantra Films were not returned.

61. You know, the more I think about it, the better I feel. It is a great day when scum like this that peddle soft porn get their comeuppance. He should be in jail. Anyone who thinks that he can get away with anything he wants because he is a "producer" is sadly mistaken. You HAVE TO ABIDE BY THE LAW. IF YOU DON'T YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE ALLOWED TO ROAM FREE. Someone should have told his parents to instill some moral steal in his spine. This spineless, brainless, idiot is getting what he deserves. I hope they keep him for a long time and others who are taking advantage of the young get the same.

63. I had a friend who went to jail and had on these hip hop pants that had all these pockets, and he managed to smuggle in a bunch of pills, because apparently they missed a few of his pockets. So he tripped in jail! I don't think he had to change his clothes the whole time he was there. Maybe Joe didn't have to wear a jumpsuit. I'm sure he's pretty bummed...and too bad for his friend!

64. WHY ARE ALL YOU PEOPLE DOGGING THIS GUY! I have never met Joe Francis and I have never paid or seen his movies other than his ads on T.V. What gets me is how quick some of you people are so quick to condem and judge this quy. Here is a guy that found a way to make $20million a year by filming young "ADULT" women "WILLING" to flash and expose them selves for a T-Shirt. How many of you both men and women wish they could make $20mill a year be young, single and have fun doing something as simple as filming women. Don't get me wrong, he needs to pay for his tax issues, but for those women who are jumping on the "band wagon" and filing civil law suits against this guy for willing to expose themselves in 2003 and any others looking to "GET PAID" need to check themselves. We and I mean the human race have one thing in commen "FREE WILL". If you are old enough to drive a car you should be accountable for your judgement or lack of it. I DON'T condone sex with underage girls or boys and I think any man or women should be punished to the full extent of the law. I have a 23yr old daughter that grew up in a disfuntional situation. I am sorry to say that I was not a part of her life " like a father should be" she was raised by her mother that did the best for her under the circumstances. What I'm trying to say is my daughter made her own choices and can be proud of the choices she made and could of made mistakes and blamed it on being "young and stupid" and didn't know any better. FREE WILL people ! For all you girls out there take responsiblity and be aware of your actions, know your limits when it comes to partying (drinking and drugs) and don't put yourself in risky situations, that you would regret later in life. Most men (including myself) are dogs and if you want to be respected and treated like a lady, well then "RESPECT YOURSELF" and act " LIKE A LADY" and I guarantee you will be!!!!
Joe Francis pay your taxes and keep your head up, from what I've seen from your ads for your movies you did not force any women to do anything against her will.

He HAS hurt people... doesn't pay his bills or debts, DOES think he is above the law... This guy deserves EVERYTHING he is getting and MORE. Trust me.. the wave is only just beginning. 68. for all you people writing on here that say you know joe or say you have met joe or don't know joe ....
i do know joe.. i live in puerto vallarta mexico where he has a vacation home in a area called punta de mita which is just blocks from my house...
so here is the low down on joe... from what i see he is not very loyal with debts .. he has owed me 30g for almost two years for a bad bussiness deal... so i am not surprised about his tax issues.. i mean come on... 30g to him is nothing..
he is not that great with girls.. but girls are not that great with him either.... . most single guys that has a girl on vacation jump on them will do something.... he does however push his limits and is rude and disrespectful...
joe also likes his drugs and drinking... at least he used to.. but that sems to be the norm for young hollywood now days..
people can only be as mad how he made his fortune as they are mad at a night club owner that getsw in trouble for a underage person sneaking into the bar.. .. lets face it .. for the amount of girls that have been on film the track record is not all that bad... and you have to consider that most of the girls in his videos are filmed in night clubs where aparently you have to be of age to be inside... most of the filming that takes place are done by film crews when joe isnt even around.....
people tend to hate financial sucess...
do i like joe francis??... no... hell no.... i have looked forward to running into him to maybe slap him around abit... but do i wish jail on anyone for crimes like tax evasion and having cash and pills in jail and contempt of court.. no .. jail is a horrible place to be....
everyone has a right to opinion but be careful how much you write about someone you dont know....
