"Idol" Reject Is Trying to Screw the Show

Paris Bennett votes for Sanjaya Malakar -- and she hopes it'll take down "American Idol."

Last season's petite powerhouse phoned into the "Tone E Fly Morning Show" in Minneapolis today, and called "Idol" "a joke," and said she and a few other contestants are using the Web site VotefortheWorst.com to screw with the results.

"We want to see him [Sanjaya] win because it'll kind of prove that 'American Idol' is kind of losing its taste," says Bennett, "it kinda isn't going for talent anymore and more for popularity."

At least she isn't bitter.

287. I couldn't believe it, yesterday I was forced to watch American Idols on the TV guide, and there was Paris Bennet, she didn't say anything about Sanjaya or American Idol, she was co-hosting the American Idol talk show with Justin Guarini and that blonde girl with the blonde straw hair. She was so cutesy I was getting sick. She even thanked them at the end of the show for having her as co-host.,Talk about your two face skanks. She looked like a midget, how tall is she? She looked like a little munchkin.Everytime she opened her mouth I thought of what she said in that article, it wasn't a good feeling and I hope AI sees that article, she won't be on again if they do. She can;t be very bright to make a remark like that and then co-host the show she is trying to get rid of. If she is the co-host on TV guide then TV guide is the one she should be calling a no taste show, I hope they don't have her on again. She either has no shame or needs the money, or both.

288. Paris, you failed your drama test....there were no tears. Try your hand at comedy...you will find a more diverse audience in that arena who more than likely will laugh you right out of the profession. Good luck on the way down!

289. I have been a huge fan of American Idol since season 1. I think evry year the right person has won except last year. Elliot Yamin should have won or Chris Daughtry. Sanjaya HAS GOT TO GO!!!!!!! He can't sing and he is creepy looking. Melinda or Jordin deserve to win. If Sanjaya wins I vow to NEVER WATCH THIS SHOW AGAIN!!! It's pretty crappy that people think it's funny to vote for him week after week just to see if they screw up the show. Well they r doing a great job!!. If you can't vote for the REAL talent don't FREAKING VOTE AT ALL!!!!!!!

290. Paris, you are proving yourself to be an even bigger loser than we thought you were. Your motivation for doing what you are doing is petty and proves you are sadly lacking in character. Either get singing lessons, or get a life!

291. I don't know anything about the politics of the American Idol show, but I do feel that it is an opportunity for some of the contestants who have real talent to get a chance to show what they have and possibly be "discovered". Not every contestant there would be the "right" American Idol, but there are other musical venues that their particular singing style would fit into. This gives otherwise unknowns a chance to possibly become known, even if they don't win. We know that Sanjaya does not sing as well as the other participants, but voting on him to hurt the American Idol show is unfair to the remaining ones who could have a real shot at a career and who deserve it based upon their talent.

292. Sanjaya is a joke. So is Paris. Sanjaya may win but, his records have to sell. These people that continue voting for him won't be the ones buying his records. I do not know anyone who wants to see him in concert or buy his records. So he may win AI but not the hearts of ALOT of people. Remember Fantasia, Ruben won the title but have NOT sold the records for people to even remember them.

293. Paris needs to grow up.

Gina was eliminated way too soon but when she left, she was a true lady. She handled it with such grace. Gina always thanks her fans and is so appreciative of the support she received. She will go on to make lots of music for us to enjoy. I believe that Gina was eliminated this early by the messed-up method of AI's voting system. This system needs to change where you can only vote a certain number of times from one phone or household. Who knows where the votes are coming from this year!!

Paris needs to take a lesson from Gina on how to conduct yourself with class.

294. Sour grages from an okay singer. It is somewhat of a popularity contest, but each year someone good AND popular has won. Usually some of the runners up are successful. (Jennifer Hudson, Bo, Clay Akien, Chris). Chris should have won last year, he was the best singer and entertainer, but he is doing better than Taylor now. I liked Taylor and Catherine too, so if they all do well, good for them. The point is to separate the ones with the total package (It factor) from the good and okay singers. (Kelly, Fantasia, Carrie) Calling to keep the worst singers on the show only spoils it for the rest of us and the contestants.

295. I think because Paris's grandma was a singer that she automatically expected to win!
It is so funny the ones who don't win come back later and bad mouth the show, wow!
I bet she sure like the big fat Paycheck that came with being in the top 10 and going on the summer tour, didn;t she?
Paris get a life, if it hadn't been for american idol we would not know your name, some of us still don't we have to rely on your picture.

296. I am embarrassed that you even came to the concert, Paris, you should be ashamed of yourself. No one in this country would even know your name if it wasn't for American Idol. I thought you were very talented, now I just realize that you think you are owed something for some reason. The show is a popularity contest, yes, we want people with talent to win, but we also want to like them too..........hello? You didn't realize that it was popularity too? You need to just be quiet and biting the hand that fed you.

297. Considering Paris was a contestant on that show she know how it feels to see the votes go to someone else who is not a s deserving. Shame on her! She is not hurting the show. It is more popular than ever because of Sanjaya and his controversy. She is only hurting the truly talented contestants and ruining their chances. That's not fair and she should know better! Seems to me that somebody here thought she was going all the way and when she didn't became very bitter! IF Sanjaya wins, his popularity will be fleeting. It's easy to vote for him for free, but when somebody actually has to spend money on him, it will be a different story! No one is going to buy anything of his! He is just a glorified William Hung!

298. TOO BAD LITTLE GIRL PARIS. AI was good enough for her to be on it. She's a sore looser, and should be ashamed of herself. Its b**chs like her that ruin things for the rest of us. DOWN WITH SANJAYA. JORDAN ROCKS. Come on america lets take our show back from the haters.

299. Sanjaya is my least favorite, though, we should remember, he is very young, and the public is the ones making this so awful, not him.He wasn't bad, just not ready for American Idol. We should throw our critisism at the ones who vote for him, as a Joke. He's just a kid!
Also, It's really not fair for the ones who are more talented to have to leave each week because of people like Paris and others not taking it serious. People say its a silly show. Then tell that to all these "hard working singers to be" on there, trying to get a break.

300. WOW, Paris! Although you didn't make it to the end, you actually HAD some fans here in Jersey. Listening to the bitterness coming from you is quite sad and very disappointing. My daughter talks about you all the time but after hearing this, she no longer applauds you. It's a shame you're lacking in class. Too bad for you.
