"Idol" Reject Is Trying to Screw the Show

Paris Bennett votes for Sanjaya Malakar -- and she hopes it'll take down "American Idol."

Last season's petite powerhouse phoned into the "Tone E Fly Morning Show" in Minneapolis today, and called "Idol" "a joke," and said she and a few other contestants are using the Web site VotefortheWorst.com to screw with the results.

"We want to see him [Sanjaya] win because it'll kind of prove that 'American Idol' is kind of losing its taste," says Bennett, "it kinda isn't going for talent anymore and more for popularity."

At least she isn't bitter.

301. I don't understand wanting to "take down" American Idol anyway? What IS that all about?
Same with Howard Stern and anyone else on that bandwagon. They are getting attention themselves by taking a popular show and trying to ruin it. WHY? It doesn't even make sense. What, too many people enjoy it so some power hungry, minor celebrities want to take it away because they can't compile so many fans themselves?
This Paris woman is just a loser and has proven so with her behavior since being voted off the show. You'll find the likes of her in every reality show where eliminations occur.

307. If Paris had waited until she grew a little bit older, she could have been a winner. Heck, this year Idol field is so weak that Paris might have won it all. But she went into the contest as a young teenager, and it was her inexperience as a singer/performer, and her immature voice that made her not reach the top prize.

As for the interview above, if she actually said all this to anybody, she made a bad choice to trash Idol as she really comes off as a sore loser and an immature person.
Good singers don't need to trash anybody or anyone to make it. Paris would do better to choose her words wisely, and shut up if she doesn't have anything nice to say. It is better for Paris as a professional singer to worry more about her own image than to worry about whats happening with Idol. Dumb move on her part. She is still not quite ready for the big stage it seems, she still has some growing to do.

308. Sanjaya should never made it this far. Why let the others lose out just because your a loser.
Sundance, was very good and should still be in. So we know now American Idol now is becoming a joke, and not serious the way it used to be. How Sad, just because one idiot is rejected.

309. You know, I really liked Paris. I thought she was mature and intelligent. It breaks my heart to read her comments. She has a beautiful voice, and was a great performer. I can't believe that she said this. Paris, Boo, come on. Don't stoop to this level. You're better than this.

311. This contest, just like most other contest, is nothing more than a contest of popularity.
what's the bloody point of having judge's if there judgment does not count??? the fact that this is the most watched show in the United States, proves how stupid Americans are really becoming. If it were I who was rule maker of the show there would be 10 judge,s and they wouldn't be able to see the contestants.

Same as Taylor Hicks he comes across so nice and sweet until the cameras turn off and then the real Hicks and Paris come out, spoiled, mean and vindictive.
