48. People are just realizing NOW that idol is a joke? lol, it's pretty much been down hill since Kelly Clarkson won. She's the only winner who has made a massive impact on the Top 40 charts all over the world, selling a whopping 14 million CDs. Carrie Underwood is a close second with her Country Music success. The runners up seem to fair better than the winners in the rest of the seasons. People like Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, and Chris Daughtry have nothing to complain about after losing. Where's Taylor Hicks right now? Idol IS a joke... vote for Sanjaya. Idol kicked off incredibly talented people because they wanted Sanjaya's cute little face to be in the top 24. 52. That's really funny because last year she was the contestant that stayed WAY too long. Every week we thought she was going to be voted off because she SUCKED. It's rather ironic that she's bemoaning the popularity angle because that's the only reason she stayed so long; everybody thought she was cute.

I thought she was a little wannabe whiny bitch and last yeay my greastest wish was that instead of calling to vote for who to keep on, we could vote for who to kick off!!

53. i'm probably one of five people in the world who has never watched an AI season from beginning to end. i usually watch the beginning because it's so hilarious!...and keep up w/entertainment news on the judges. i have no idea who paris bennett is...BUT i do like sanjaya! he's such a cutie and has charisma! he seems like a sweet innocent kid. truly, how can people knock him?? like someone else said, MADONNA has been selling cd for years!! if britney, JLO, and God help us, ASHLEE SIMPSON AND HER SISTER can sell cd's and not actually sing, why can't sanjaya??? they can't all be mariah careys or christina aguileras!!

57. The truth is that entertainment is a total package. In this competition singing is part of it, but not all of it. Looks, personality, popularity are a huge part of it. I find it interesting that Simon keeps saying this season that it is a singing competition. If they were looking for singing only we wouldn't see the contestents, they would be behind a curtain and everyone knows that.

60. AI is one of the few shows you can watch as a family. Why do people want to ruin the show? Hey I don't like CSI, any of them, but I don't try and get it taken off the air. I just don't watch it. So to the people like Howard Stern, that want to ruin AI, and that silly web site, do something positive with all this energy your putting into destroying a TV show, and leave the viewing of it to those those of us with families who like it!
