78. Paris obviously had loads of visible talent, no question. She kind of reminded me of Leslie Gore, a small in stature and high-ranged-almost squeeky- but-perfectly pitched singer in the 60's. Kind of a specialty act or sound. I think Paris ultimately lost as her particular sound lacked the broad appeal necessary to secure the most votes, as good as she was.

I understand her disappointment, and she IS very young, but a sense of entitlement and a refusal to acknowledge the equal talent of her idol mates shows immaturity and self-centredness and a slightly deluded ego, and only age and experience will temper those into wisdom,acceptance, and magnanimity. An attitude of benevolant altruism towards other artists gets a singer much farther in a career, plus stuffs back that nasty green eyed monster back where it rightly belongs. There's enough room in the world for many singing stars, and Paris needs to learn how lucky she is to have raised her profile in such a mighty way with Idol, and run with it. Forgive the very young, and hope they overcome and prevail.

Racial comments have no part in this; any young singer could react in such a way. Don't lower the level of discussion by introducing a kitchen sink where it doesn't belong.

79. I would also like to add that the type of ego good singers can display is often the fuel that gets them where they need to go. Artists experience a lot of rejection, and this kind of ego is sometimes necessary to enable them to keep floating until they achieve some success. It's almost a survival thing, so little Paris will learn humility regardless, as life packs a punch.

81. American Idol is already a joke. It's for fat Americans. So they can do the things they like best. Sit on their fat asses, watch TV , judge everyone else and make phone calls. I hope the loser guy wins, cause he represents most of America better than the rest of them. Off Key and stupid.

82. At least Sanjaya is a likable kid, Paris Bennett never was. In fact, she really is an illustration of a talented singer who flamed out early. Her performances declined week after week. The better singers and the better contestants on AI never nosedived like Bennett did, that's probably why she's barely remembered now.

Sorry but I blame Simon and the other judges for not telling sanjoka that he just cant sing. They are so hard on all the other contestants and when it comes to him the joke around there answers, and if you noticed that even the show is playing in to the sanjoka story. If any one should be pissed it should be the other contestants that are being underplayed because of this situation. Word of advice to the shows producer, run the show they way it should be, dont play into sanjoka and tell the judges to remember this is a singing contest and not a freak show. Those poor kids are working their butts off and this is the respect they get !!!! Simon I am really disappointed in your response to sanjoka, it makes you a big Joke, maybe you cant tell a good singer from another. Can ratings mean that much, is this what it will come to and ruin such a good and wholesome show. I cant even watch anymore its a joka!!!!!!!!

84. Dearest Paris: Oh, yes, American Idol has SO gone down hill since you left all of one year ago. What was a serious music competition has become a "joke." In fact, if it were a serious music competition, you and your overwhelming talent would have one hands down. You are clearly God's gift to the earth ... American Idol was beneath you, anyways. 90. Talk about sour grapes! The show is called "American Idol" not "The Best Singer." Yes, it is a bit of a popularity contest but people have to like you to want to buy your CD's. For everyone that wants Sanjaya off (and let's face it--the time is now!) it is really simple: phone in on Tuesday and vote at least once for everyone--except Sanjaya. This will assure him being the next one to go. Simple. As talented as Paris is/was, her personality didn't transfer over to CD sales--at least not yet. This bad publicity won't help her either. Sour, sour, grapes!!!!
