Mo' Problems -- Biggie's Family Sues Again

Biggie SmallsThe family of murdered rapper Christopher Wallace aka Notorious B.I.G., has filed another wrongful death lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles in connection with Biggie's death ... this time in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The lawsuit, filed yesterday and obtained by TMZ, is in addition to the one filed in federal court years ago, however, the new complaint involves state-related claims. The lawsuit also names two former police officers as co-defendants.

Wallace's widow, singer Faith Evans, along with his mother and two children, are suing for unspecified general, compensatory and punitive damages.

Wallace was brutally shot and killed in 1997 after a party in Los Angeles. His murder has not been solved. The lawsuit alleges that two police officers were involved in the fatal shooting, which was described in the lawsuit as "very efficient, organized and professional."

Calls to attorneys representing Wallace's family were not immediately returned.

46. Hey Ignorant,
Biggie was a no talent loser, just like a lot of these hip hop rappers. Throw some lyrics over a prerecorded beat and talk about killing each other, treating your women like crap, and getting something for free. Oh wait, they also talk bad about the cops that protect them, but then they want to sue them for no protection. Get a life, and quit waiting on other people to give it to you.

47. How would you assholes feel if someone said Nicloe Brown Simpson was a ho and deserved what she got. It would shock the world. I do not understand what i am reading, it is okay to murder a person if they are different or not living up to your standards give me a break. As for his wife, she is an artist and has moved on to marry well, she probably doesn't even need the money it is probably for his children and to get justice. It is such a tragedy when one race seems to think that their murder victims are more precious or of more importance than another. A life lost is a life lost no matter who, or how. A family mourns their death. Some of you are heartless or just stupid but let's just pray that a tradgey of yours never becomes public because sympathy is limited in America who has become a bunch of self serving, self important assholes! All that one nation under God, was good for a couple of years after 9/11 but i guess the hate monster has resurfaced!

48. This was never about music, it was about a lifestyle and it's that lifestyle that killed him. Back in the mid-80's when young blacks abandoned their sweet music for this thug stuff and people started to die. No one ever tryed to kill Smokey Robinson!!!

51. And they are suing how many years after the death? Ladies, did Big not have any insurance through the lable? This is a waste of the courts time. He died, no one wants to come forward so the real killer can be put in jail. Faith, you have talent, use it. I know the LA tax payers are just soooo happy about this one..

53. Reply for #46-How many years and how many tribute records, concerts, DVD's, tracks etc have been released? Do not even go there about the money for his kids because you cannot tell us the man did not have 1 policy on him for over 1 M. His kids got money. Like I said, have the witnesses come forward-oh yeah-they would not co-operate with the POLICE. Its called the thug life for a reason. You play with fire, you cannot expect to not get burned some time.

what is your point? your question was answered yesterday..quit with the copy and paste and resend routine.

show some creativity and empathy instead of trying to throw a smokescreen on to why a gangsta wanna be is dead.

56. Andrea -

You're missing the point of a blog if you want people to silence their opinion. Don't click on the link to the comments if you get offended by other's idea. Of course that would mean you're thrown into the "holy who can not be judged" crowd when you click that button.

57. He "was brutally shot and killed" .... seriously, is there any other way to be shot and killed other than "brutally"? I'd love to read a report some day that says , "He was gently shot and killed".

58. I remember the days of Al Green, the Spinners, the O'Jays, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, the list goes on and on. What talent. Their songs are timeless and beautiful.
And now we have "rappers" who live by the sword and die by the sword. No real talent, certainly not role models for anyone black or white. Why the black community has embraced these thugs is a mystery to any reasonable person.

59. If your husband/child was murdered and it was COVERED UP BY THE POLICE DEPT, you would sue too! This is about justice, not money. It is about exposing a corrupt police dept, not trying to get rich. How do I know this? My brother was innocently MURDERED and the police dept covered it up, and words cannot explain the frustration involved when dealing with a corrupt system! Faith has a right to seek justice in the name of HER SON'S FATHER! Mrs. Voletta Wallace has a right to seek justice in the name of her SON. It's that simple people. Look beyond your small worlds and realize that there are things that you know nothing about so you should just shut the hell up, oh my lord ignorance runs deep.
