Paula -- No Sympathy for Sanjaya

Now that he's been booted from "American ldol," Paula Abdul couldn't care less about Sanjaya Malakar.

TMZ caught the loopy "Idol" judge outside Mr. Chow last night, where she went to chow down after the results show, in which the Sanjaya the Ponyhawked Wonder got the ax. When asked her feelings on his exile, Abdul wasn't exactly sympathetic, brushing off the question with a "Oh he'll be fine," and proceeded to sign photos for waiting autograph hounds.

With Sanjaya's media attention and lightweight vocals gone, Paula added, "The competition's gonna start getting heavy."

31. I like Sanjaya. I honestly believed he didn't do well on Tuesday though, but so was others. What's the big deal there could only be one winner and it seems to me like it's Ms Doolittle; that is if we don't get a surprised winner. Am from the Caribbean - I wish I could have voted and I would have voted for Sanjaya all the way. Too much criticisms for the guy. The guy is just bringing his own personality to the game. If everyone was singing like Mariah Carey it would be very boring. I like different Genre and different voices and different singing and the list goes on. I know he will benefit from some of the criticisms in all kinds of way. Hope is not all lost for him, I could gurantee you'all that. He won't be the last to go, 5 more will go.

33. joan___________________ nothing to do with him being gay,so don't go on that tirade ,the man could not sing and where from what i saw on videos so i never saw the show but from the videos i saw ,I DON'T KNOW SEE THE CHARISMA you are talking about ,unless it is you who are prejudice or having problems with someone in your family or you not being able to come to terms with being gay you saying gay and special is not a good choice of words to use cause in mental health field special means special needs o.k., so if that is what you are saying then you are the one that needs to address your midwest or wherever you live prudices, i live in los angeles and have few gay friends NOT A PROBLEM ,and that hollywood is not for the faint of heart AND YOU NEED TALENT AND I'M SORRY THE KID HAD NO TALENT , it's a backstabbing tuff business this thing called show bizzzzzzzz so you better have a tuff skin if you want to venture into show bizzzzz and something to offer like singing since he was in a singing competition show ,cause even when you have a talent be it actor or singer it's tuff slugging through all the others that are competing for the fame and money scenario cause if you don'thave a tuff skin the vultures will eat you alive WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD!

35. Sanjaya will be missed.

He was the only entertaining person on the show this season!

I am looking forward to seeing his career in music take off....

36. There can only one winner from AI each season, and we all know that Sanjaya could not possibly win. Someone has got to go "home" each week, and this week is Sanjaya. I don't think he was surprise, but rather sad to leave his friends, especially Kiki, who looks after him when some came down hard on him mercilessly day after day. God bless them both! Thanks Sanjy, for entertained some of us.

If there are the last two standing, you know, Melinda & Jordin, I think it could go either way.

Melinda: great voice, super confident based on years of performing, but her "homely" looks & big gum could be a turn off for voters in the end. Remember Elliott Yamin's "snaggle teeth"? It didn't matter to me though, I voted for him all the way & now enjoying his CD. He has an incredible voice. As Simon mentioned once, Elliott could possibly be the best male vocalist AI has ever had. Go Elliott>>>>

Jordin: great voice, adorable personnality & absolutely gorgeous to look at, but her young age & inexperience could be her downfall.

Both could lose 10-15 pounds each.

As for Ms. Abdul, I never paid much attention to what she has to say. It didn't make sense most of the time, except for the fashion comments. I'd rather listen to the "dawg"'s comments, however annoying when he tries so hard to be cool, the dude actually has good ears & good points!

As for Simon....AI would not be AI without him. Go Simon!!!

37. #32.....Huh? What are you talking about? I'm not on a "tirade" about being gay. I'm not from the Midwest....I'm not prejudice...I'm not gay...and I'm not having problems with my family...

I'm making an observation about Sanjaya. CLEARLY, there is prejudice against him from the judges NOT BECAUSE HE MAY OR MAY NOT BE GAY, AND NOT BECAUSE HE'S AN EAST INDIAN. But if you've watched the show before, you'd see how they treat other less talented Idols with a LITTLE more respect, and even kid gloves. Say what you want about Sanjaya, the kid is smart and savvy....alot more savvy than most 17 year old kids out there. I don't know a lot of 17 year old kids who could withstand the onslaught of negativity spewn at him over the last few months.

Think about this...we've just had a horrific tragedy in Virginia where it seems the gunman was bullied because of his race. Because of the guy's obvious mental issues, he chose a darker road to express (or not express) his turmoil, winding up in the slaughter last Monday. As a human race, it just never ceases to amaze me how we're so quick to tear apart someone for our "amusement" and then stand back in horror when someone goes nuts. And NO, I'm not saying Sanjaya is the next cold blooded killer, so don't even GO there.

Oh, and just to set the record straight, I'm a married, WHITE, female with two boys.

40. WHO CARES IF HE'S GAY OR INDIAN ?...........HIS DUMB ASS CAN'T SING !

Posted at 3:02PM on Apr 19th 2007 by IT'S ABOUT TIME !

41. Thank you #41!
The reason there was so much ridicule was because everyone knew he shouldn't have made it as far as he did - he may have had a "pleasant voice" but not powerful enough to
be "star" quality.

43. I watch AI from time to time because my 10 year old daughter enjoys the show. This season has by far the least amount of talent, so I guess Sanjaya's antics were amusing and entertaining. I'm sorry, but the kid was off key most of the time he sang and should of never gone as far as he did. As far as the judges not showing enough "humanity" and "decency" towards Sanjaya; give me a break. The kid got his moment of fame and probably will make more money than he knows what to do with!

44. He was entertaining and without him the show would be very boring at least for me. I am not watching it any more but then I only watched it for sanjaya. He has more written about him than any one else on the show , at least that is what i saw. I am the mother of a 17 year old. Even though it was his choice to go on american idol he was not as bad as everyone kept on saying.
He showed Grace under fire and to boo him is plain mean .
Ok so he is out .So what now . Go back to watch boring singers .
The others all had more experience than him
Maybe because I am a mother I support him and want him to pull a Jennifer Hudson.
For Sanjaya, just because you got voted off that is their opinion and do not let them discourage you.Be successful and all the best for you. You will be successful. Look at jennifer Hudson, Chris Daugherty, they are not winners., You have an awesom fan base
Good Luck

45. Watch, some Bollywood director is going to get Sanjaya and his sister to star in one of their Musical Movies, and isn't India the second most populous country. They will be laughing all the way to the bank. Plus have you ever heard one of Paula old records, she can't sing a note, alway flat or sharp, but I bought her record as a youth for some unknown reason. I think Jordan might win because she is the full package with her beautiful face and voice, she is the most marketable. Kiki's belting it out thing is getting a little boring, her eyes aways look sad and doen't she have a speach impediment. I think the judges have liked her because she kind of like a Jeniffer Hudson, who they underestimated. Melindas great but Jordans got the face.
