18. I was married to a sick B@st@rd like him and I feel sorry for that little girl, and her mom!! My parents NEVER lost thier temper and called me names!!! Yes all parents get angry but you dont handle it like that, NO MATTER WHAT, by calling your child names like that!!! I think he finally lost his temper in a way that the public could see what Kim has probably been dealing with for a long time. He should not be allowed to see his daughter ever again unsupervised!!! And Mary, unfortunately all parents dont love thier children, they used them for their own agenda sometimes!! Its sad but a fact!!

19. There is no question that his message was outrageous, but I also ask, what kind of a mother would permit the added humiliation to her daughter by making this public? This beautiful little girl is unfortunately getting it from both sides.

20. That question was kind of black and white. The guy obviously has some anger issues, and I'm sure some insecurity from whetever Kim tells there daughter about him. He lost his temper, that doesn't make him a bad guy, or bad father, maybe somewhat irresponsible. People have no idea what is going on in his daily life, he could have gotten some really bad news, or been in an argument and made that call when he shouldn't have. Also, it seems like he may have been taking some anger at his ex-wife out on his daughters voicemail. Don't be so quick to judge, you people don't know everything. He's a sharp guy with a good head on his shoulders, I find it hard to believe his this maniacal with his child all the time.

22. I tried so hard to find a website where I could email Kim Basinger. This guy should never have access to that little girl, alone again. That type of verbal whipping that he gave her was horrible!!! The guy obviously has anger issues. And yes, as a parent, I would agree that your kids can push your buttons sometimes, but calling his daughter a "nasty little pig?"?? I mean come on....who is the adult here and who is the child. One thing I can say, it has been proven that verbal and emotional abuse are sometimes more damaging than physical abuse. And in this case, wow, that little girl will probably be damaged for life over the things he said. And that is just one phone call that we got to hear. I am sure this is a common occurence for him and I am almost 100% positive that this guy has said wayyyy worse to his daughter before this call. What a total shame. This child is going to have some real issues as an adult with a dad like that...He is a total slimmy snake.

23. It's about time that the press stopped giving Alec Baldwin a free pass to shoot off his mouth. I'm sick of him getting away with murder and people looking up to him as a hero. he's a gutless wonder and calling his daughter a Pig is probably the nicest thing he has said to her in private. This time he got caught. He has gotten away with way too much and now it's time to pay. The Public sees the real him, foul mouth and all and its great it got publicized or he'll just keep doing it to that poor child. he doesn't even know how old his own daughter is, no wonder she didn't want to answer his calls. I wish the TV news would stop apologizing for Baldwins behavior though. He is what he is, A coward and he needs to be brought down.

24. While Alec's outburst was obviously disturbing, I blame the Courts and the mother most of all. For anyone who has been involved in any type of divorce or custody battle, it is clear that the Courts antagonize, criticize and invade every aspect of a paying fathers life while refusing to uphold his rights as a parent. In addition, the custodial parent, typically the mother, is highly regarded, protected, supported and otherwise encouraged to alienate the children from the father and to seek more and more support money while playing games such as shirking visitation. These mothers are allowed to play these games, the courts support it to the point that even the most loving fathers are driven to outrage. I guarantee Alec is not the only father who is in this situation. I blame that mother for alienating the daughter and for allowing the disrespect. I blame the courts for encouraging and allowing the mother to get away with that.

25. I think Kim knows how to push Alec's buttons, especially when it comes to (using) their daughter. Alec had to go to court to get her ordered to let him see Ireland and Kim has broken court orders a few times. Strange that the phone call should apparently come from Kim's side (even though parties were told to "play nice" by a family court judge).

27. Being the divorced mom of two daughters, ages 12 and almost 11, I can say that they - girls - are and can be mean little animals. I love my own dearly, but am horrified at what I see them do to one another, at home and at school. Little tweeners are what teens used to be back in my day (think Mean Girls). My "angels" can make me cry with their attitude, disrespect, etc. And getting engaged in word battles with them is fruitless and a devolution.
That said, I believe Alec B. blew up, borne out of frustration, and he undoubtedly regrets it, and did before it became public. OTOH, he needs to pull back, assure her he loves her and is there for her, when she's ready to come to him. Girls need their fathers, and she'll be there, maybe in a few years, but he has to pull back. It's the only way to both preserve their respective dignity, and to make a passive and positive statement re: this ridiculous divorce/custody issue.

30. If Alec was to call at a certain time then its Kim's responsibilty to make the child available. Its plain as day...Kim is acting and saying negaive things about Alec infront of the child, therefore the child is showing that to the Dad. Alec is not being a bad dad, he is frustrated that this will go on for another 17 years. I dont blame him...Kim should be held accountable...she is not being a good mother.
