16. Kim Basinger continues to ignore court orders and is probably doing everything she can to make her daughter dislike her father -- that is seriously twisted. If she wanted to protect her daughter she should not have leaked the message which has probably humiliated her daughter. Kim Basinger is too selfish to realize SHE is hurting her daughter. You could hear the frustration in Alec's voice. He was angry at Kim and unfortunately, took it out on his daughter. I'm sure he feels awful.

18. Every parent has gone off on their kids at some point or another. If he was supposed to be calling at that time, and she has avoided his pre-scheduled calls before, I can definitely understand how he would be hurt and angry and frustrated. I agree his visitation rights with his daughter should not be in jeopardy because of an angry message left on a voice mail. I think EVERYONE in the situation should be treating each other with a bit more respect, Ireland included.

21. I am with you Hombre. There is no excuse for an adult (?) to speak to his daughter in a damaging and demeaning manner. She's not a pig--she's a pretty little girl who deserves to be treated with respect. How could he? He appears selfish, arrogant, and immature. He needs individual and family counseling before he is let loose on his daughter.

30. This is getting way more publicity than it deserves. There is not one parent on this planet whos tween/teen hasn't sent them over the edge at least once and more likely several times. I'm not condoning how he did it, but as a single parent of two teens I fully understand why it happened. If he didn't love his daughter he would not have been so upset and frustrated. It should never have been "leaked" the kid is a pawn in a very ugly custody battle and apparently the stops have been pulled out. Its time everybody had a reality check.
